"Care in Turkey are lucky to have Dr Sakaraya "

Dr Sakaraya is a very gifted surgeon, his deep plane FL and neck lift is amazing, the stitches and scars almost impossible to see, he even kept my Tagus. I’m only 3 weeks post surgery and look great already.

However, the whole experience with Care in Turkey was mixed. The night nurses in Medicana Atakoy hospital were rude, and so unhelpful I had to hire a private nurse for both nights. One of those nurses shouted at me that my pain was ‘normal’ and I should stop asking for help because she was busy with ‘sick’ patients. (Seems cosmetic surgery means I’m not a sick patient). The ‘private’ nurse promised by Care in Turkey was only in the hospital between 3pm and midnight and even then not always around. When he was available he wasn’t much help being very inexperienced. Despite my Raynauds being in my notes, I woke up after surgery, totally alone, freezing cold, and I had lost the circulation in my hands and feet. No one understood the issues, including the Care in Turkey nurse as no one at that point had bothered to read my medical notes. The experience with the hospital was so bad I hesitated about going back, but Dr Sakaraya and his nurse/assistant Ahmed are so professional and talented, I would not go to any other surgeon.

My coordinator Ryan who arranged my trip was always available, and always helpful, and even whilst I was in Turkey when technically I was no longer his responsibility, he still kept in touch and visited me in hospital. I can’t fault him.

Mariam the translator who accompanied me to all my appointments and to the hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a wonderful young woman, who was always smiling and helpful. She did everything she could to make sure I was comfortable and well looked after. My in-country travel experience would not have been as good without her, or the careful, considerate, Care in Turkey drivers.

Unfortunately the logistics team who organize the transport and appointments were initially not as responsive as the rest of the team. Their communication about times of appointments and arrangements for transport were often late in the evening the night before. But they did do their best to accommodate prior arrangements and re-schedule. The rescheduling could have been avoided with earlier and more interactive communication from them. I say ‘them’ because they never identified themselves so you don’t know if you are dealing with one person or a team, which makes things even more impersonal.

I also had some dental work done while I was there. Dr Melvut is charming and talented, but I found him a bit heavy handed and not as communicative as I need. Dr Zeinab who did my final check up was a lot gentler and explained a lot more about the procedure, so if you are a small woman, with a small mouth, I would suggest you have your dental work done by Dr Zeinab.

As I said at the beginning, my whole experience with Care in Turkey was mixed, lots of positives, the major one being Dr Sakarya who is an incredible surgeon. But a few negatives, the biggest one being Medicana Atakoy Hospital. The very badly thought out arrangement of the room means you can’t really be alone in it. The air conditioning controls are fixed to the wall so the patient has to get out of bed to change the temp, and the controls to raise and lower the bed for patient comfort are also out of reach of the patient. Also when I woke up after surgery the nurse’s call bell was out of reach. Not that it made much difference as during the night they often did not respond to the call bell.
All of that said I would still recommend them and would go back, I would just advise that you either have a companion or a private nurse with you in the hospital.

I had Breast reduction surgery with Care In Turkey. From 1st contact to my flight home the attention to detail has been excellent. My surgery Professor Dr Ethem Guneren was present at every check up post surgery. The team was also incredible. Amazinging assistance with the language translation which was most important also. 10/10

Soy Luzmira y vivo en Noruega, necesitaba hacerme unos implantes y en Noruega era demasiado caro por todo el proceso que esto implica. Lei en Facebook acerca de esta clínica y pedí que me contaran un poco más. Mohamed se contacta conmigo y me empieza a contar el proceso, después de haberle mandado mi radiografía. Hace poco tuve una urgencia dental, me comunico con ellos y aquí estoy. Muy satisfecha, desde que llegué al aeropuerto. El hotel lo quise elegir yo y todas las citas las han mandado con anticipación en la que me espera mi transporte 🤩

Despues de un mes, estoy en mi recuperacion por la cual tengo que esperar 6 meses para volver a Turquia y que me pongan los implantes. Por el momento todo va bien, ayer tuve una cita con mi dentista y me dice que la recuperacion va bien.
