My second interaction with Boardshop was even better than my first. This time I was advised by Ian who is the perfect person to guide you through the complexities inherent in the board buying process. For those in the know surfing is an exceedingly difficult sport, so having the most suitable equipment is highly beneficial. What I found great was his ability to cut through my nonsense and then provide an honest solution based on what's the best service for the customer and not necessarily the business. The trade in process is honest and fair too. Nothing but the highest praise.

One only thing, when you buy a 1200€ surfboard you expect some kind of present (wax or pad) along with the board. At least that's what we're used to in France for just a 600€ surfboard. Anyway I'm happy and going to try the board today !

They helped me with choosing the right board, answered all the questions I had and were really kind and quick with delivering (to Czech Republic).

Also the DHL delivery company was excellent. There was no problem all the way and they even helped me with carrying the package even though it was not part of the process.

"Al Merrick M23"

After 15 years without surfing I decided to come back in the game. I am now 38, 6’3 and 160lb. I have been riding few different boards from 8’4 to 7’4 and I was looking for a forgiving board, easy to paddle and surf, but more lively and easy to turn.
I was a bit lost in my board research and Charlie took time for explaining differences between the ones I selected and shared his personal experience to let me choose the good one. I finaly ended with a Al Merrick M23 6’10 stock dim. I was a bit afraid of the jump down in length but finaly the board works so well for me at the very first session.
Board arrived very well packaged, only less than a week after purchase.
I would like to thank you all the boardshop team for their very well done videos and particularly Charlie for his kindness, his professionalism and his precious advises.
I definitly recommend boardshop.
