My old combi boiler was 22 years old and had done excellent service, but it was beginning to show its age so I thought it would be a good time to get it replaced. I walked to the Boilers R Us showroom in Welling and the lovely ladies there were very helpful.
A guy came to my house the next working day to survey and provided me with options - no pressure whatsoever, and the price was reasonable. He booked the installation for the following week.
The installer, Dave, was polite, friendly, arrived when expected and did a great job in removing the old boiler, installing the new one and patiently showing me how it all worked. And he left no mess at all.
Throughout the process, I was impressed with the professionalism of all at Boiler R Us and felt reassured that I was in safe hands. So far, I am very pleased with my new boiler - the water heats up much quicker than my old one. No problems noticed yet, but I feel that if I did have an issue, Boilers R Us would be easily accessible to advise if necessary.

The engineer clearly explained what he would be doing (he was here for our annual boiler service) and was very neat and tidy. Payment by card was available on the spot. In 2023 he fitted a water softener and asking if we were happy with it was his first question (we are - very).

Very prompt & friendly service to fix a leak at the mains stopcock in our Church hall. Boiler serviced too within a few hours of the call. As we host a Nursery, it was imperative that the problem of being without hot water was fixed speedily otherwise they would have had to close.

Called out to repair Ideal Boiler not firing, Engineer attended and changed gas valve and ignition electrode. 4 weeks later same fault occurred. Engineer attended, could not fix. Left me with no hot water and heating over a bank holiday weekend. Then, radio silence from this lot, had to call in Ideal who attended and told me Boilers are us had fitted the wrong parts. Nothing wrong with the Gas valve they changed original fault was the electrodes which should have cost me just £100 fitted. Raised this with Boilers are Us. They never called back to resolve. Avoid this company. they clearly do not know what they are doing. To top it all, the boiler was still under warranty so the fix was FOC yet I'm £400 out of pocket.
The replies below suggested that you returned my call on 10th May following the Ideal visit, this is in fact false. You never called me to ask me to put my complaint in writing, you left no message, email, or text.
You also never covered the fact that your engineer fitted the wrong parts to my boiler - as confirmed by Ideal. This was the cause of the second failure and likely to be the original fault and not a £400 gas valve.
Further, The boiler was not working and was not left in a fault free condition following your second visit. Every time I drew hot water, or used the heating I had to reset the boiler - Is this a safe action for me to have to carry our given the first time your engineer attended it was 'too dangerous to use'?
The lack of communication and explanation of the above is the reason for the 1 star review.
