"I have been with John pye for years…"

I have been with John pye for years after winning my last items I waited nearly 2 weeks to find out where they were…. No answer to my 5 emails or phone calls just a generic answer of “don’t know I will get back to you “….. last time I will bid with them

I expect a generic response to this review

"SCAM SCAM"

SCAM SCAM. Electrical tools dont work. I bought a ryobi leaf blower and there's no power at all. Please stay away from this auction if you dont want to be scammed.

"JOHN PYE IS DISGRACEFUL"

I never intended for this matter to reach such a public stage, but the company's lack of response has left me with no alternative.

On August 9, 2024, I ordered three sets of chairs, yet to this day, I have only received one. My attempts to resolve this situation have been unsuccessful despite numerous emails and outreach.

On September 17, I was informed that a delivery company named Barrat would be taking over the delivery after Furdeco arrived at my home with only the single chair. Initially, we faced difficulties getting the chairs into the living room. After several discussions, I devised a plan to set up scaffolding to facilitate delivery through the French doors from the garden.

We incurred a cost of £150 for the scaffolding in preparation for the delivery day. In the meantime, Felicity sent an email on September 30 stating...

“We had to wait for Furdeco to return the Lazy boy chair. The saleroom team have been instructed to package this for a Barratts collection, whom have held the other two settees at their depot until the lazy boy chair is collected from the Chesterfield site and then will be delivered altogether as you requested.
Once this is booked in by Barratts, you will be notified by them to arrange a delivery day.”

A whole month after that I still did not get my chairs delivered. So I wrote to express my disappointment for not receiving my chairs on the 24th October 2024. Felicity came up with an excuse that Barrats couldn’t deliver as they are not to set furnitures up. We had already moved past this stage. Her last email on the 30th of September was they will deliver once the chairs are at the same place. So my question was, why the digression?

Eventually we agreed to a delivery date. So we got the Scafoldings in place on the 24th October 2024 only for a chair to be delivered instead of the three.

I sent Felicity an email questioning why all the chairs were not delivered. There was no response. I messaged a week after on the 4th of November. Still no response. I sent another email on the 6th of November, still no response. I also messaged I.bidder to help step into the matter at hand on the same date. They were as bad as John Pye.

Finally I got a response from
Felicity on the 22nd of November.

Good afternoon,

Thank you for your patience whilst this was being investigated. Firstly I can only apologise regarding the delivery process of this invoice. I understand how frustrating this may have been for you. It is not clear how one item was delivered whilst the other two were returned back to the site.

When they were returned, there appears to have been miscommunication between the saleroom teams and when traced back through the sales , the two returned items had been resold. Again, I can only apologise for.

Due to this management have authorised lots 754 and 744 to be refunded, including the delivery costs for these two lots. Can you please provide your sort code, account number and account holder's name as it appears and this will be processed by head office.

And below is my response…

I expressed my disappointment regarding your lack of response over the past 6 weeks. Your silence, without any acknowledgment or explanation, is unacceptable. If there were any ongoing investigations or issues that prevented you from responding, I would have expected you to inform me accordingly.

Regarding the refund for the undelivered chairs, I'm afraid this does not adequately address the concerns at hand. The expenses we incurred in preparing to receive the three chairs we ordered are a significant burden that cannot be simply resolved by a refund of undelivered chairs.
We have been without the necessary furniture in our sitting room for over 4 months, which has significantly impacted our ability to host guests or sit comfortably in our sitting room.

Furthermore, the missing chairs were intended to be a matching set, and keeping just one would serve no purpose for us. The logistics of returning the single settee and receiving a full refund would also be inconvenient and time-consuming. You must remember we paid £150 to have Scafoldings erected to have them delivered.

In addition to the financial and practical issues, the prolonged delay and lack of communication have caused us significant stress and inconvenience. I believe our rights as consumers have been violated by the failure to deliver the products we paid for since August.

I sincerely hope we can find a reasonable and amicable solution to resolve this matter before it escalates further.
I am open to discussing a comprehensive resolution that addresses the financial, practical, and emotional impacts we have experienced.

I eagerly await your prompt and constructive response, and I trust we can work together to find a satisfactory outcome.

Still waiting to hear from John Pye…

"Learn how to bid !"

All this people here they don’t know nothing about auctions,
You can always see the product before you can bid.
I have had really bad experiences with them too.
But on off 10 and 9.
Brilliant bargain place to be.
Nice one guys.

"Where do you start with this bunch of…"

Where do you start with this bunch of scammers?
If your not sold a fake or misleading item you will have paid through the nose for it with all the add on’s your charged in addition to the auction fee. DONT BOTHER ‼️🤫

I think from the reply you can all see that this site is not only a huge risk but by its own admission another 50% more expensive than the auction fee! Like i said:
“DONT BOTHER”

"Excellent Customer Service"

Excellent Customer Service, as always from Jenna. I needed my account looking into, as my card company sent a text that said that they had not paid them, I thought the text sounded a bit of a scam, so I phoned and talked to Jenna, who clarified with the admin staff (on the same call) that everything was fine their end. Needless to say I deleted the message.
Thank you Jenna, for all your help this year with all my enquiries you are a star ⭐

"⛔️⛔️⛔️ Pity I can’t use zero stars as that…"

⛔️⛔️⛔️ Pity I can’t use zero stars as that is what I’d be doing. Absolutely disgusted with this company!! Recently bought an item that from the photos looked great, what I didn’t realise is they had concealed the fact that the item was broken, which they had bound with packing tape. Auction should describe anything that could render the item faulty or not fit for purpose, not hide the damage. Whilst in the process of complaining about this I had actually bid, and won another lot. After paying over 120 pounds for the new item, it arrived NOT IN A JOHN PYE BOX which they always did before (DPD guy looked confused, said he hadn’t delivered one like this before. “No box or nothing”), not packed at all, nothing to protect the product NOTHING. obviously not working when it arrived in fact it didn’t even turn on (but I feel they knew that), and as mid dispute I feel this was intentional. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, they are scammers. There is no recourse, you will get no joy, just a pathetic excuse. I wish I had looked at trust pilot before using J PYE, would have saved me money and time. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK ⛔️ ⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️ LOL… SEE BELOW FOR THE STANDARD RESPONSE TO SELLING UTTER TAT ONLINE. NO WONDER THERE IS A DEDICATED BEWARE OF JOHN PYE FACEBOOK GROUP 😂. I HOPE EVERYONE SEES THIS AND DECIDES ITS CHEAPER TO BUY FULL PRICE… RIP OFF AUCTION.

"Please stop using FedEx they're terrible !!!"

I must say I've enjoyed bidding and winning various items, but as others have said some items are faulty or broken but listed as used or new, but I learnt not to bid on electrical appliances because it's a gamble, so I bid on either clothes, coins, perfumes or gaming items, and I've always received my parcels with DPD but now recently they have started using FedEx, what a terrible and unreliable courier service, I won an auction just last week Nov 28th and now it's almost Friday 6th and they still haven't delivered my parcel yet, all week I've had to stay at home all day till 6pm waiting and no delivery, if you read the reviews for FedEx you will be shocked, the drivers are stealing parcels and making excuses for non-delivery, I've only seen 2 pages of reviews and that was enough, most people have given only 1 star which is what they deserve, I've complained but still not received my parcel. And here is my tracking number so you can see for yourself the parcel still hasn't been delivered from Monday 2nd Dec -
