"Beware purchasing electrical items"

Beware purchasing electrical items. I have bought several lots from John Pye in each case the electrical item was faulty and only fit for the bin. It's an easy way for sellers to dispose of faulty items. Although they state you can view the lots how can you test earbuds especially if you are bidding in good faith from another part of the UK. I was thoroughly ripped off.

unfortunately i cant give them -1 star , don't waste your money , never buy from them , they are scammers , i bought 6 computers and it says only hard drive been removed but i was surprised with the rams all removed as well and all the battery's are dead , also i bought 11tvs where it says mainboards removed , but it turns that all the screens are smashed as well (put them in the bin ), at the same time i paid 155 pound for a jump start and its also faulty and it cant be repaired , they know about all these things but they don't mention it , avoid avoid avoid , don't buy from them

"Signed Up, Helped Them, Got Blocked"

Tried signing up and bidding. Spotted a very material discrepancy on one of their listings and got a very tepid response after I took the time to point it out to them.

Then they restricted my account, and the support channel then made me think they didn't really care, before they completely blocked my account anyway.

What a complete bunch of timewasters. Inaccurate auction listings, terrible support, and judging by the other reviews I have thoroughly dodged a bullet.

Despite apparently blocking my account, the site is still notifying me of bids being "outbid" so it seems my bids remain live, yet I have no access to them. This is legally dubious and if necessary I will take expensive advice about it before pursuing recovery of the damage done / costs to me.

UPDATE: following further email correspondence, it has become apparent that the John Pye Auctions website is possibly purposefully designed in such a way that allows falsely inflated auction prices to be driven. By creatine and then suspending accounts whilst leaving the bids "active", and winning bidder is still out-bidding potentially inactive accounts whose bids should have otherwise been removed. Reporting our findings to trading standards and any other similar bodies that may be interested in this dishonest trading conduct.

My fish tank arrived smashed to pieces but I put that down to DPD not John Pye. Rang and spoke to Emily who was absolutely brilliant and a pleasure to deal with, hopefully will get my money back or might have to leave a not so good review!!
