I've bought several items knowing that there was a chance that they were duff (a £200 iron for £25 for example). However, last purchase was 2 exercise bikes - paid invoice (£600+) day after the auction and we are well past the 14 day delivery for large items.
Contacted customer service several times but get the stock 'we'll look into it and get back to you'. I did find out that the courier had collected 1 item but not the other - as they have charged me for 2 deliveries of 1 item (and not 1 delivery of 2 items) there is no reason why they cannot deliver the one they have collected. My assumption is that the courier is trying to reduce their costs. Not my problem. No updates unless I chase and even then, nothing of use.

Ive recently started buying from John Pye. Ive learnt a lot already and you sure have to be thorough & take time looking through photos checking condition where you can. I understand it's a lottery. I've had some great purchases and a couple of stinkers too, but this is all a part of the learning curve.
My reason for leaving this particular review is to acknowledge the fantastic customer service I received from an agent called Logan. Ive bought quite a few lots already in a short space of time. However, one particular lot consisting of two items was delivered with one item missing.
Several emails later and in no more than 48hrs I had my query sorted and missing item replaced.
This reassures me for buying in the future and very grateful that the service I received was prompt and well organised.
Thank you and I look forward to buying from JP in the future

"Misleading conduct"
I was deceived at the John Pye auction, I paid to purchase a product that was supposedly a KINDERKRAFT MOOV 3 IN 1 MULTI FUNCTIONAL baby stroller and the baby stroller was not delivered, they gave me the wheels and rain cover, but the stroller was not delivered. I was informed by John Pye that this is normal and is not their responsibility. They are deceiving consumers!

Purchased a 10 month old freezer from Chesterfield. Tested the electric at site, all good.
Got it home, waited 48hrs, plugged it in all good. Following morning garage full of gas and smoke from the freezer. Called out an Indesit engineer, he condemned it, he also confirmed it had been re-gassed!
Called JP, ‘not fit for purpose, sales of goods Act and all that, not interested in the slightest. VERY DISAPPOINTED, VERY DISILLUSIONED. It’s a wonder my house hadn’t caught fire! WARNING: Stay clear of electrical goods!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Complete price fixing and low quality items, the prices are fixed when you read the terms and conditions they are able to bid or increase the bids. It is extremely convenient that the prices are always just above your maximum and continuously rise. This isn't like eBay it is a scam show.
