"BUYER BEWARE"

BUYER BEWARE! After having my carpet for 4 months, it already has really bad wear and the loops are pulling up. The companies response is to “trim that off with house scissors, all the way down to the carpet backing” and claiming it is normal!!!! I’ve had Berber/loop carpet many times and have never ever had this happen especially after only 4 months! We are a family of 2 and the carpet in question is our second bedroom that is rarely used.
My previous (half the price) Home Depot carpet lasted 5 years….now I’m told that I have to have a professional carpet company company and steam my carpet before they will even bring it up to the manufacturer! No compensation for that either…
They do not stand behind their product!!! Go to Home Depot, at least they have better customer service (and that doesn’t say much!

I have used Ruggs Benedict for all my carpet and flooring needs since moving to the Vail Valley. I have recently had a most unpleasant experience with them that I hope will be helpful to other. After research on the Karastan website and through, Jacque, who helped me at Ruggs Benedict, I purchased the new Smart Strand Carpet. I found out after it was installed that when you purchase this carpet you also have to purchase a special Vacumn to use on it. I would have chosen a different carpet if I had been informed of this since I already owned a Dyson $500.00 vacumn. They sold me one at a discount of $200.00 and thought I should be grateful. I would have been grateful for full disclosure from them. Buyer Beware!!!

"Tile, Carpet and Hardwood"

Tile in the foyer, carpet in 3 bedrooms, and white oak hardwood floors. Each time Ruggs brought a crew of installers so big that they could work simultaneously in different rooms so the work was done incredibly fast. It was like it was choreographed. Each job had one guy whose sole job appeared to be to continually clean up after the others. Fabulous quality - even the other subcontractors were impressed. The product, sales staff, and installers were as high a quality as could have wished for. And all done at an efficient speed for minimal inconvenience. Get in. Get out. Get it done. These guys are amazing!
