"WORTS COMPANY IN AUSTRALIA!!"
WORTS COMPANY IN AUSTRALIA!!
If I could give zero stars I would.
We unfortunately chose imove to move us from sydney to brisbane.
after about 8 phone calls prior to our move quering the size of the truck with Mary and Georgie multiple times as we had a massive laser booked in as well for which we paid extra and provided the dimensions to Mary over the phone they send a truck way too small and then lied and said that that is the biggest truck for removalist, which was proven a lie as they dropped of our laser in a truck double that size a week later. We ended up having to pay $3500 more on the day of the move just to get the rest of our belongings picked up and then they again estimated the size of the truck needed wrong and could not load all our belongings.
First truck was stopped for being overloaded and rhey dumped some of our belongings next to the road, and then lied about the fine recieved, we were told it was a $3000 fine but it was $800 and Taif made it out that it was our fault that his people overloaded the truck, from the get go they were abusive and argumentative.
Now they are refusing to lodge a claim for my missing and or stolen items, stating that that is not covered, even after I again confiremd that it was with Georgie and Mary.
And Taif then thought it was a good idea to try and extort more money from us if we complain or leave bad reviews on their service and even went so far as to send us an invoice for delivering our laser after we paid for moving it in the original quote. This was his lamed arsed attempt at bullying me to keep quite and not expose him and this company for the scamming fraudulent pieces of crap they are!
Total value of items lost due to Imove is $10 000 that includes, bedding, cricut and materials, clothes, about 20 pairs of shoes and some of my jewelry that was moved on the first truck.
Pleas be aware of these people, they intentionally underquote you and send a smaller truck to scam you out of more money!!
Horrible experience and horrible people to work with!!
The only plus this company has is Shannon and his team, just a pity they work for this company!!

"Fantastic service"
Nawras and Savio could not have been more helpful. They phoned me 1 hour before they arrived and when they did both of them greeted me with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble. They wrapped couches, pictures etc and were extremely professional and courteous. They were in and out in just over 1 hour. I cannot recommend these 2 chalming young men more highly and have no hesitation in recommending this company. Thankyou boys. Much appreciated

"WORST SERVICE - BEWARE/STAY AWAY"
WORST, PATHETIC and UNPROFESSIONAL GROUP OF PEOPLE. Very rude and doesn't understand English. Came late by more than 2 hours. Starter cribbing and tried finding ways to loot more money by parking their vehicle 30 mts away from building, EXTREMELY SLOW is moving things. ABSOLUTELY NO RESPECT FOR ANYONE. WORST SERVICE EVER - STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOOTERS/SCAMMERS.. I would love to write a 2 pager review full of SLANGS for these As*H***s. CHEATERS.

"Shocking do NOT use"
Moved from ground floor to ground floor. Lady on the phones said approx 5-6 hours after i itemized each item but was then charged 12 hours. I noticed after being charged that they actually finished an hour earlier than they charged me for. Super slow guys, at one stage two of them were together carrying a pot plant 10 kgs that I carried solo when pregnant. Also damaged several pieces of furniture and left indoor furniture outdoors. When raised and disputed both length of time and the damaged furniture was told their guys don't take any breaks during a 12 hours session, were absolutely non-negotiable regarding the length of time it took and the speed they worked, and got sent a link to their insurance policy. Save yourself the headache and do NOT use.

"Beware - untruthful & appalling customer service"
Move booked in 4 days before move date - a residential apartment move, Sydney CBD to the new place 3km away. I had requested a 8am move as the new apartment had strict time constraints re moving. When booking the move, the iMove person sounded
charming and professional, slick website and telephone answering service so I thought all was good.
By 8.45am on the move day (6 January 2021) the removalists hadn't arrived. I call iMove only to be told the truck is on the way and they'll be about 30 - 45 minutes as they'd had mechanical problems with the vehicle. OK, things happen but I'm really unhappy because no one's called me to tell me there's a problem and that they're running late. 50 minutes later I call iMove again because the truck's still hasn't arrived (they said it would be 30 - 45 minutes). The iMove person says she's surprised they're still not there and that she'll call the truck again to find out what's happening. I wait for the call back. And I wait. And wait. After another 20 minutes I call iMove again. "Where IS this truck and when is it arriving?!?!?!?!" I am now pretty upset. I ask for the driver's mobile and name. The iMove person says she doesn't know, only her boss has this information. Really? That makes little sense to me. Why wouldn't iMove person know who's been sent out to my job or the driver's mobile number. I'm suspicious. Something's not right here.
The truck arrives at 11am, 3 hours late. No apologies for being late. None at all. I ask the driver what the mechanical problem was - he points to the front right hand side tyre and says it needed to be replaced. What nonsense. The tyre rim was dusty and there was zero indication that that any of the nuts had been removed. I'm becoming more suspicious.
But to the move... that went OK. They did the job but one of the guys didn't appear to know what he was doing. He tried to load a glass-fronted fridge onto the trolley FRONT first... Thankfully I stopped him doing this. The other 2 guys were fine. They moved quickly and I thought things were going fine. At 2.15pm the driver guy tells me to phone iMove to make payment for the balance owed as he and his guys are leaving at 2.30pm. WHAT???! The guy says his boss says he's got another move to go to. So, we finish up very abruptly... the iMove person then calls me and literally just asks me for my credit card info to process payment for the hours 4 hours (3.5 hours move and 0.5 hour travel time) ending at 2.30pm. No asking how the move's gone, no apology for the horrendous delay earlier, no offer of any gesture for the 3 hour delay. No sooner had the payment gone through she said thank you and goodbye and ended the call.
So here's what I think really happened re my move:
1) iMove had subcontracted out my job to a 3rd party removalist outfit. They did not appear to be iMove removalists - no iMove branding on the truck or on the removalist guys' shirts for example. The fact that the iMove person did not know who was doing my job and that her boss seemed to be talking to the driver's boss is further indication that they were a 3rd party.
2) iMove's assertion that the reason for the removalists being late was due to a mechanical problem with the truck is false. There was no new tyre on that truck that morning. What I am 99% sure happened is that they had another job to do before coming to me, even though I had booked the 8am slot.
3) Neither iMove nor the 3rd party removalists cared one bit that I had been massively inconvenienced. Any notion of customer care or customer service from either was non existent.
In summary, iMove is not the slick, professional removalist outfit it says it is. Far from it. I know some people on this thread appear to have had good experiences with iMove, but not me - and a few more recent customers I have noticed. Luck of the draw I guess.
So if you are thinking about using iMove, be very aware of how your move could turn out. I just wish I had read some of the more recent reviews before selecting iMove. I won't be using them again or recommending them to anyone.
