I was in fear that I wouldn’t get a refund for cruise because it was very last minute. Had to cancel trip on embarkation day due to injury. I submitted claim a couple days later telling myself I just lost $5000. AON came through with an approval and in less than a month. They never questioned me on anything. I submitted my paperwork and got an approval response quickly even though they were swamped with claims. Definitely will use AON if and when I try this cruise thing again. Thank you AON.

I sent all the appropriate information and proof I was in a medical facility and could not go on the cruise due to being in rehab when the cruise left. I was denied a refund stating cancelation for being intoxicated was not covered under the plan.
Update 8/29/23
After I contacted the Better Business Bureau the company called and told me that if I was to submit paperwork stating that I was unable to attend the cruise due to a mental health reason that they would refund my money. I did, I got a letter from the facility stating that I was there for mental health reasons. Then they contacted me again saying they needed a certain paper filled out and it had to state the mental health issue and again they told me they would refund my money. So I had the medical staff fill out the paperwork as they said it should be filled out. And after jumping through all their hoops they again denied my claim and refused to give me my refund. This company is nothing but a scam. Do not waist your time or money using them as your insurance for a trip.

"Fast Review and Action"
I was advised by my Travel Agent to contact Customer Relations of Aon, the travel insurance I used for a Viking River cruise, Paris to Normandy. Two different airline flights were canceled as we were to start our trip, causing us to miss two days of our trip and required us to incur extra expenses. I had to submit receipts, emails from the airlines, unused boarding passes, etc., in order to submit my claim. It took me a full day to get everything together and forwarded, with no expectations of receiving any compensation. To my surprise, within two weeks we heard back from them that we would receive compensation and that would take place in 3 days, which is what happened! We were offered the choice of receiving a check or having money deposited in our checking account. I chose having them deposit the money in my account, and it was done immediately. Amazing! We were surprised and happy that our claim was handled so fast and to our extreme satisfaction. We will definitely get this insurance for any of our future trips! Thank you, Aon!

Representatives were very responsive; process was easily understood; documentation required was understandable and not overly burdensome; time to close claim was very reasonable given the complexity of the claim and that it was a family member and not a traveler that caused the cancellation; and the outcome was very fair!

"Trip insurance made dealing with medical situation easier"
Unfortunately we had to cancel a trip due to an unexpected medical situation. Luckily we had travel insurance. To deal with all the cancellations along with the medical situation could be very stressful. Luckily this insurance claim was an easy part to deal with. It was a relief that after filling out the form, collecting the required medical information and submitting it for review we received the money for the claim. That allowed us to continue to deal with the medical situation and not worry about losing funds. Hopefully we will be able to take our "trip of a lifetime" in the future and you know we will buying insurance on every future trip!
