Was a little concerned that after a few days I’d had no despatch information so contacted Barkers. Seems that a bit overwhelmed by the curse of Black Friday and the shoes being located in a different store. I didn’t catch the lady’s name who I dealt with but she was as good as her word in getting the items despatched within 24 hours. Thank you whomever you are!

As always with Barker the shoes are excellent.

"Dispatch and delivery hopeless"

Dispatch and delivery hopeless. I bought 2 pairs, same shoe, same colour but one set was cheaper than the other in the sale. I returned the expensive pair, then the cheaper pair didn’t arrive (no stock!)

Haven’t had the refund on the pair I returned either. Also I had to chase to get the refund for the pair that they said they didn’t have in stock (but did) hopeless. I have several pairs of churches shoes, I was new to barker but I think I’ll stick with churches

I have used the repair service several times and the results are always excellent. Perfectly repaired but with the existing patina retained. Great service

Had to return this pair as not wide enough, even tho I have two other pairs of Barkers in G fitting, have reordered another style.

After their initial email and text messages confirming my orders, (22/11 & 27/11), I didn’t receive any further communication from Barkers or their courier.
On both occasions after total silence I found that my shoes had been left at random neighbours. No post box message on either occasion.
Email enquiries to Barkers remained unanswered for days and then glibly confirm that they can see that ‘your order has been delivered’.
Delay to reply blamed on volume of emails. Perhaps this is understandable given that nobody knows whether their purchase has actually been dispatched, is en-route or has been ‘delivered’.
I can only hope that this side of their business is sorted before I order any more of their products.

Beautiful shoes and a prompt efficient service. I have a broad foot and the G fitting proved to be ideal

Can't fault the purchasing experience - very professional/quick delivery via reliable carrier.

Bought 2 pairs of boots in same size, due to different lasts one fits insanely roomy (could've gone half size down easily, if not a full size), and the other is bordering on painfully tight (should've gone half a size up), so I'm struggling to be confident in my Barkers size and would recommend caution around the sizing.

Apart from this though, despite both pairs being at the lower end of the range (not made in England), the leather quality is decent (especially the burgundy cutter - divine), and can't fault the construction.

Soles feel very hard from new compared to other brands I have, but hoping this will improve with some breaking in, though both pairs really would benefit from an extra insole if you're walking on hard surfaces all day.

Overall I'm really impressed and would place Barker on par with the similar end of the Loake range from what I've seen so far, but Barker have a much wider array of styles to choose from.

Very clear website booking my shoes in for a repair which produced a printed label for posting. Very good communication from Barker and shoes returned in superb condition. An excellent service.

Returned for refurbishment. Very simple, s straightforward process. Now have a pair as good as new.
