Excellent shoes, comfortable and exactly as anticipated and described. High quality, as I have experienced over the years with Barker’s. Not cheap, but, with Black Friday discount , just feasible for me.

I bought the last pair 6 years ago and other than being re-soled they remain perfect.

Ordered size 10 and size 8 arrived. Invoice and box both show uk10..Order took over a week and no shipping notification. Had to call sales and without an explanation as to the issue told a new shipment would be created. Arrived the following day but wrong size in the box 🤬

"Woeful communications and zero confidence in delivery"

Ordered shoes on December 3rd. Email received "We are preparing your order" Paid extra for DHL. DHL Tracking says they are 'Aware' of order but no sight. Two emails sent to Barkers with zero response. Shoes are £325. Expected premium experience. Ignoring customer concerns is rude and unprofessional. Shoes are great. Customer service is woefully inadequate. Never again

"No customer service "

Terrible, non-existent customer service. My husband loves Barkers shoes and I attempted to buy a pair for his birthday. I went online and found the shoes I wanted at a discounted price. When I went to order they were only available in size I6 but then the ‘customer service’ here to help with immediate response, tells me they are in stock and gives me a web link. This again says they are not in stock. Back to the web site to go through the same routine again and I’m given an email address. I emailed straight away and two days later had no response so back to the web site who (after going through all the previous alternatives) eventually says my email has been prioritised and I was given a reference number. I had asked if there was a telephone line I could speak to and was told they didn’t have one. I have spent the last two weeks corresponding with their bot who has now twice prioritised my request and I still have not received a response and the shoe price is now an additional £100.

In desperation I tried to find an alternative shoe same style but different colour and asked if as a gesture of goodwill they would give a small discount. That got an immediate response, no.

I don’t usually give bad reviews and I even apologised to the bot for hassling them, but this is so frustrating and annoying. If I had simply been told by a human voice, “I’m sorry we don’t have any in stock and won’t have any available any time soon” that would have been fine.

"DISSAPOINTING CUSTOMER SERVICE"

I placed an order with Barker Shoes on 29th November 2024 and opted for their three to five day delivery. As I had heard nothing from either Barker Shoes or a courier company, I contacted Barker Shoes on 6th December and did not receive a response. On Monday 9th December I contacted them again and finally received a response during the afternoon stating 'Your parcel .... is out for delivery today'. It finally arrived at 19:30.
I buy all my shoes from Barker Shoes and have never experienced Customer Service like this before. Talk about rude, blunt, abrupt - I was very disappointed.

The best shoes in the world. You get what you pay for. Totally excellent quality and service.

The shoes were fine and as expected. Delivery experience was poor however. No notification of despatch or of delivery to the property. Shoes were left by the back door but remained undiscovered for 36 hours while it rained heavily. The shoes survived (all packaging sodden) but this was more luck than judgement.

"Great alternative to Loake Oxford's"

I have usually bought Loake Oxford's but on researching them this time it was clear they were manufactured in India and searched for British made shoes to compare costs. I was pleasantly surprised at the cost of Barker shoes and with the added savings of black Friday. They arrived, very well packaged, within 4-5 days. They are a great fit, having a wide fitting, and would recommend anyone to purchase these British made shoes.
