"WORST BANK EVER"
WORST BANK EVER! I bought a camper and the company used this bank and they never sent any information or my welcome packet to me about my loan. I had to drive 2 hours just for someone to assist me in finding out my account information. Once I had the information I go to make a payment on my loan and they take 2 payments instead of one. Instead of taking the amount in the confirmation email. What a joke. I will never make an online payment again. Will be waiting for my coupon book to mail them checks. But who knows they will probably wash my checks to change the amount since they changed the amount the first. DO NOT USE THIS BANK!

"We got a loan through them for a camper…"
We got a loan through them for a camper and that was a mistake it seems. I used their online system to send a message and be contacted but all they did was send an email saying they couldn’t help and needed me to call. That’s was the point of the email, to get a call from them. I have been on hold for an hour and have not had any luck with their callback system. I’ll have to pay my note but I do not know my account number because it was not on any of the paper work and the info provided will not allow me to create an account. I absolutely do not recommend using this credit union if you want customer support.

"They are a joke for loans."
Been banking with them for years my whole family have been banking with there life.. after today moving to a different credit union and it has open everybody in my family's eyes that place is a joke they're out for their selves and do not help their customers that have been with them for a long time.. I would invest in vibe or Michigan credit Union..

Been with Genisys Credit Union since 2009. Was a good banking partner for a long time. They turned away from their loyal customers recently and just figured out ways to pile on the fee's until it just wasn't plausible to stay any longer.
Be very careful before you join. If you're looking for customer service this is not the place for you.

Amber at Auburn Hills and, Yvonne at Grand Blanc (earlier) by phone were extremely personable, informative, knowledgeable, patient and kind. I have been with Genisys double-digit years and in all that time, whichever branch I have gone into for service, the staff are welcoming, upbeat, knowledgeable and kind. Thank you!

"debt consolidation loan gone wrong"
I applied for a debt consolidation loan and the financial officer told me that they wrote it up as a usd car loan RATE to give me a lower rate. What happened is they attached a lien to my car (which I own and have clear title) and did not tell me. I talked to a young man in the loan dept and he never returned my calls. This credit union is very dysfunctional and they lie to you and then say you agreed to the lien. I'm going to try one more time to change the terms of the loan, if they refuse I may have to take legal action. I hope we can settle this easily.

"Double billed and added a late fee"
I paid my ac loan bill on the 19th Sunday the due date ît didn't clear until 21 Tuesday they double billed me and charged a late fee which took my bank account negative balance

Had good relationship with them forever I was giving them my direct deposits for 10yrs then I got "car loan" which was the only thing they would ever give me after all that time they was my worse and lowest credit card not to mention with the highest interest then i caught covid asked them for help they instantly turned nasty and into a regular big bank on me everybody turned rube instantly. They keep tacking on that insurance putting me deeper in the whole with them I told them I was in trouble months in advanced before the wave was going hit. They could of care less told them to come get the car and it sat for like 4months just tacking on insurance in further smh what a disaster. Tried to sell the car to caravan and they messed that up for me too this bank is my number one biggest problem financially. Took me 10years to realize they wasn't a good bank but when I first signed up with them I didn't know any better.

Customer service is not helpful. My Card is constantly being decline even when the account is fully funded. Then I get locked out of my card, & no one in customer service could assist to unlock it. Also, I’m often being told to use my “My card control” app but it still has not been fixed to reflect my cards.

"I sent in my Mortgage payment via US…"
I sent in my Mortgage payment via US MaiI. I wrote the amount payable for a positive $2, yes, $2 over. I was told by a Bank representative they had to return the check because of the wrong amount was written. I get it but, here we go. I got the paperwork over the Holliday weekend and, the bank was closed. Monday also closed due to a Federal Holliday. So, I’m stressed out, I got a hold of a Bank Rep. they charged me late fees. Again, I wrote the check wrong, $2 over what was required. Why not put the positive $2 towards my principal? This Bank refunded my late fees but, the kicker, lol, they charged me $15 to make the payment over the phone. Did it really cost this Billion dollar company to not deviate. That’s why banks are rich. This is a mind blower. Take your money. We are talking $15 for a phone call I was already talking too this Customer Service rep. For me? I’m in the real estate business and it’s not doing well🤪 $15 buys me food. This bank would not credit me $15 for making my payment over the phone. This may seem petty, but, really? You already have my account pulled up and my bank information. Merry Christmas. I’m thinking of moving my accounts. The saying is that as a Member of a Credit Union, you are a Member, not a account. lol
