I had microsuction last week to remove excessive wax in both ears. Joana, Hearbase's senior audiologist in Folkestone, carried out the procedure. Joana was very welcoming, efficient and clearly very experienced in her field. The procedure was painless and the improvement in my hearing immediate. Thank you, Joana!

"Hearing Aid upgrade at Hearbase Folkestone"
I have been using my NHS hearing aids for about a year. They worked well enough but I I wanted to explore whether there was a better solution that could help in a wider range of environments. I also have the need for an aid for each ear and my NHS aids are wired which I felt a bit self conscious about.
Nicola at Hearbase is extremely professional and quickly put me at ease, allowing plenty of time to do a thorough examination/test and a diagnosis of my needs.
I didn’t feel under any pressure whatsoever and Nicola carefully explained what options are available for me and the sort of improvements I could expect. I opted for the Starkey Livio AI model which is rechargeable and wireless and is controllable by an App. The fitting appointment was again totally unrushed with ample time given to the set up and explanation of how to use. The devices are quite sophisticated and require careful set up which Nicola did with great care. I have just had my first follow up appointment 2 weeks after the fitting. They devices are excellent and I am achieving the improvements I hoped for. The Hearbase staff I have met in Folkestone are excellent and Nicola is very courteous friendly and expert. I am sure her colleagues are the same. The devices I chose do represent an investment but in return you do get excellent on going care with follow ups and tests every 6 months and importantly Nicola/ Hearbase are continually available to help with any questions or explanations. Consequently the ongoing support is excellent which is a big factor for me.
I have no hesitation in recommending Hearbase.

"Great To Find A Company That Puts The Customer First (Properly!)"
I came to meet Hearbase as they purchased a company I was dealing with. Unfortunately I had a problem with one of the devices I had bought some months earlier. Sally French at Hearbase immediately identified that I had been mis-sold the hearing aids for my needs.
Sally and the MD of Hearbase (Mark Scutchings) were phenomenal, explaining exactly what was wrong, sorting a refund from the original manufacturer (even though the cool off period had passed) and sourcing replacement products from an alternative manufacturer, all with fabulous communication and an enormous sense of fun.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Hearbase and of course the ever smiling Sally, to anyone. They have a great range of products and solutions and are brilliant to deal with.

I have found Hearbase a mixed experience. In all honesty I would not have purchased my new pair of hearing aids (£5,600) but for one thing. This being the support I have received from Sally French. Trying to contact her is often difficult in that Hearbase will not let you contact her directly requiring me to go through Folkestone, often with delays caused by their inadequate telephone system and not always particularly well-trained staff. However when able to speak to Sally I have no complaints and I find her at Chaucer Hospital not only excellent but friendly and helpful. By the way my rating is 2.5 stars.
