"Great customer service and deals"
Great customer service and some great deals. I ordered a Scott eRide for my wife who really enjoys riding the bike. It's amazing value for a Shimano / Bosch specced bike from a major brand. The build quality and robustness of the bike is amazing and inspires confidence in her riding. I had a minor issue with a peripheral, which was resolved without question, Overall, 99bikes are the most approachable bike shop and you can trust their excellent customer service and aftercare. I'll be on the lookout for a gravel eBike for myself in a few months and will look here first!

"Bad Customer Service"
I found a broken spoke on my mountain bike so took the wheel into the Chichester branch. One of the staff was on the telephone and ignored me and eventually someone else came out. He didn't look at what the problem was and went to his computer and reacted completely negatively, saying they wouldn't be able to do anything until probably October. Terrible customer service, it was as though I was disturbing them.
I then took my wheel to Chichester Halfords where a couple of smiling lads couldn't do enough for me. One of them pointed at the poor condition of my tyre so I ended up buying two tyres as well! You don't mind spending a bit more when you get such good service.
Never going to 99 again.

"Not the company they once were"
I first used 99 Bikes when they were Hargroves Bikes and it was a good experience. I used them last year for the 2nd time when they had changed to 99 Bikes. The bike arrived damaged. They credited me loyalty points for the damage as compensation. The original purchase loyalty points and these disappeared. A year later the points are added again but then disappear again so i still can't use the loyalty points. I am now losing out on a good quality Altura top, but i have just given up on the points. My third bike purchase has been a real disappointment. I get a 10% charge when using Cycle to Work so the 20% tax benefit is halved (i understand this may not be their fault but apparently i am supposed to know as it say's on their website (yes it does in a section it never occurred to me to look at as a shopper). They are only allowed to deliver to my address and not a neighbour so i have to take time off work to receive the bike. It's just messy and unpleasant using this company to purchase a bike from. I wish they had remained Hargroves ! This 3rd purchase will be my last. I suspect they will be glad not to have me as a customer any more.

"Poor customer service "
Poor customer service , focus is on maximising profits and have no intention of giving you the service most online sellers give. Bike came under spec from what was advertised and they tried to gaslight me it hadn’t. Set up of bike was amateur, brakes required bleeding, thru axle over torqued, cable routing was shockingly poor and rushed. No grease anywhere on the bike, bone dry on headset. Will not buy from them again.

"Bo the heRo of Southampton."
Just want to rave about 'Bo' in my local (Totton) 99Bikes shop. Patiently answered all my Brompton questions. Visited Brompton Junction in London twice and the noise in there was so bad we all had to shout - got a headache. Bo suggested moving the brakes round a bit so my hands weren't straining to reach them - BIG thank you.xxxx

"Excellent service"
Excellent service today when we came in for our 6 week service and, prior to that, when we purchased the bike. The staff are so knowledgeable and friendly. My son loves that they are bikers themselves. Definitely worth the journey down from Basingstoke.

I received excellent service from 99 bikes( Southampton branch), I had an out of warranty issue with a motor on a electric bike, they obtained a new motor from BOSH and fitted it as soon as it was delivered, very happy with the service I received.

They offered expertise, value, and a friendly fast service, discount and value with superb customer service came first.
If you want a bike go to 99bikes.. I ccant find fault.
