We did not realise they closed at 5pm, we arrived at 5.22 just as James was locking up but, to his credit he opened up again and gave us our car..James even upgraded us for free.
Fair enough he was cranky at the start, but who wouldnt when they were just about to go home and then get hit by the 5 of us wanting a car but to his credit he quickly turned into a very friendly and helpful person.
There was a small chip on the windscreen that got bigger during our hire. We let James know and he did not charge our bond, which we got back in 4 days. The bus driver was extra friendly when we went back to the airport from the office
All in all this was a very good experience and the car was a decent price. Extra thanks to james for staying back for us and helipng us out. Top bloke.

"Collection of van is fuss free"
Collection of van is fuss free. There is an email of the van condition before collection day. However, it would help if there is explanation on the operation of the navigation touchpad system. I was just given the key to the van without joint inspection or signing of any handover papers.
I have submitted a Damage Report on the dent during my reverse parking of van. There is no response to my follow up email requesting for copy of the Damage Report and the Damage Assessment. I saw another review claiming that the Security Bond has yet to be processed after 26 days. I hope the company would improve on the follow up to improve the ratings to their service.

"Caveat emptor"
Awful exploitative company fronted by bland beaurocratic senior counter staff. Took me more than a month to get my bond back after a lot of unresponsive messaging and me posting bad reviews.
Dont use them for rideshare unless you're really desperate. They don't offer any single vehicle damage waiver to rideshare drivers, therefore, the cost of repair for any not-at-fault damage that doesnt involve another vehicle is priced up by them and 100% charged to you. Brutal.
Northside if you can't offer a fair deal that doesn't discriminate against rideshare drivers you should get out of that market.
