Yorkshire Gas and Power customer services team is based overseas and they really don’t care. Asking to speak to a manager is like asking someone to climb Mount Everest. Been on hold now for over 30 minutes. It is the only business energy company I have ever used that says opening balances take 3 months to come through and until then they will just bill you in advance. You would think someone who pays over £2k per month could at least speak to someone in the UK. They also don’t respond to online queries. Even setting up your online customer portal took two phone calls to foreign lands. All I want is an actual bill. I thought I would cancel the direct debit to see if that sparked any interest so immediately got slapped with an additional £103 surcharge and now getting regular emails reminding me my account is days in arrears with their advance charge. So frustrated.

Beside the obvious pre requisite of competitive pricing.Kirk who dealt with the process start to finish was very helpful and reliable and an all-round pleasant guy to deal with, as were all his colleagues on the Yorkshire based renewal team.
