we were able to install a very cost effective, and if I say so myself, a very tasteful and sexy Shoji door set between our master bedroom and the master bath. The instructions were simple, and pretty intuitive. Bev walked us through a selection process that will minimize issues on the screen with moisture. The three panel system is from stock -- and the only had to cut the length for us. This saved us a lot of money over custom cut door to fit the exact opening, and when they are all closed, we simply space them evenly and they look amazing... I strongly recommend this company and its products. As a Realtor serving luxury home buyers and sellers, I have recommended this solution to clients already as something distinguished and quality! A+ overall experience!

"Good product, but I'm not 100% impressed with your attention to detail."

Hi. I sent a pretty detailed opinion around August 1 to Bev, with a picture. Now I would add that even though I already sent the opinion that you are now seeking, it is not clear that you read or even received it. Why not a quick acknowledgement? That is what I mean by, "not impressed by your attention to detail."

The door is great, the delivery was good, it was not good that someone misplaced the first contract that I signed, but that didn't cost too much of a delay.

Hi Bev,

I just wanted to let you know that the door arrived after we were back from Europe (almost a week after). Gabi and I installed it ourselves and the photos are attached. My plus deltas for you:

The door looks good and was the type of design and construction we were hoping for.
Good detailed instructions for the installment. Good/decent instructions (my phd biologist wife thought they were not good). Good instructions were truly necessary, and they were good enough for me (PhD engineer).

It came a day or two later than promised for the shipping. Not a big deal but the shipping company had local issues and it sat a day in Terre Haute.

I didn’t realize we needed a mitre box and pin nailer for assembly and that probably would have been better to know up front. We did it without the pin nailer.


Overall we are satisfied with what we purchased. It is well made and functions flawlessly.

My wife, born and raised in Korea, wanted sliding doors to separate our 4 season Sun-room from the Living room. Her requirements were that the doors be just like the type she grew up with with the exception to have glass instead of rice paper in the doors. The search was on! We found Cherry Tree Designs and reviewed the website and made a few phone call coordinated with our builder and made the leap of faith and purchased them.

We were more than satisfied in the packaging and the finished product, the contractor was impressed and most importantly my wife Myong was elated with the final product. I strongly recommend Cherry Tree Designs and their product for you next project!

"The highest compliments for style, function and usage."

Our doors were ordered to complete a handicap bathroom access project. These new doors allowed us to cover a opening of 96" with a product that was not only functional, but decor wise beautiful. I would think the number one item that sold us on these doors was the materials. We were so pleased that the wood used in the doors was the same wood we had used in all of our homes cabinets. It matches perfect and all who see it ask did we made the cabinets to match the doors or the other way around.

"Nice product, some design flaws."

The shoji screens are very attractive and we are enjoying them.
But there is a design flaw in the product I installed. My screens have grillwork only on one side (using them as window treatment for sliding glass doors) and the velom material is held in on the backside with unsecured shims. During shipment all of the shims fell out and I had to request more from Bev Piette and reinstall the screen material. A better design would have been to secure the screen material with full length molding (glued and tacked in place) and mitered in the corners. The grill work should also have been glued in place to the velom screen material.

Please be advised that Bev Peitte was most helpful and professional, without her assistance I would not have ordered the product.

From the first call I made gathering information to every consecutive call the rep so over the top helpful. She knew the products and could answer every question I had. Was so simple to order and when I received the final product it was packaged safely with no damage. Turn around time was very quick for an item like this. I love my doors.
