"Great product!"
Cameron, the salesman, was very, very helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating! The installer, Bill Thompson, was also knowledgeable and very helpful and thorough, but he was very late for his 10am appointment, a time which he chose, disrupting our plans for later in the day. But for that issue, Ameriglide would have received a full 5 stars from me!! Thanks for everything; the chair is working very well and we love it!

Timothy was very patient with me as we explored all the many features and requirements possible on lift chairs. It was time consuming and he helped me make a decision. Can’t wait to get it next week!

"Repair issues"
I purchased a stair recliner. My wife and I are disabled. I had the chair for a couple of days and I had a problem with chair not locking in place. They promptly sent a technician and he replaced the chair. Great service!….. I thought. Approximately six weeks later, I heard a popping sound and some small parts fell out of the chair. After exhaustive phone calls, to several companies, I was informed that my contract only covers parts, no labor. I was also told that it was a factory defect. So, parts would be covered, not labor. Even though I paid an additional $700 for professional installation and it wasn’t my fault, the refused to repair it in less I pay additional $700 for a technician to repair it. Remember, it’s a factory defect and the problem was not from negligence or misuse. It’s still my responsibility. I asked what if it happens again once it’s repaired. The answer was it wouldn’t. Very reassuring! Every time it does it’ll cost me $700! I spread the word, as much as possible, to avoid this company. The part is still broken, but the lift operates. If the chair is left at the bottom of the stairs, the battery doesn’t charge. Very convenient. Without the remote control, it would be unusable. I guess you get what you pay for……$9200 for two straight stairways, twelve feet long. There’s no connector between them. I didn’t want to pay an additional $2500 plus installation. I purchased this to ride on it, not work on it. Live and never learn. This is definitely not “The good old days.”

"I do not like giving negative reviews…"
I do not like giving negative reviews and avoid it at all costs but unfortunately, it must be done now. The product itself is quite good. The experience of customer service is quite poor. The rails arrived. The box was full of metal shavings and lots of burrs to cut yourself on. The rails were very scratched. When the two rails were put together the holes did not line up. It was impossible to put the screws in to make one long rail for the seat to glide on. I contacted our salesman, Dane right away by phone and email. I sent pictures. Over several days and many attempts at trying to contact him, there was no response. No return email or phone call. Three times while trying to be connected with him the phone call mysteriously ended without ever being connected. One week passed and no response. My husband who has the ability to fabricate, made a new connector piece with new drill holes for the rails to finally fit together. Still no response from the company. The directions given for the distance between the wall and the glider were poor. Be careful if installing and take into account that the youtube video does not show it being installed by a wall. Take this into consideration when measuring. It is all put together and working very well. Very easy to operate. Very sturdy. I like that the seat swivels at the top of the staircase allowing for easy transfer into my wheelchair. I cannot stress enough how frustrating it is to have a company with poor customer service. What happens to disabled persons whose husbands cannot do repair work and fabrication? I'm afraid they would be stuck. Bad form Ameriglide. Good product, terrible customer service if there is a problem. Oh, and by the way, STILL no response from the company.
