The stair glide is easy to install is comfortable and works well. A minor issue with factory quality control is reason for the 4 stars. However, at a reasonable cost, I am satisfied with it.

While the website is extremely to use, customer contact is lacking. There is no notification of when Items will be shipped until the day it is actually shipped. Other than sending me a receipt for my purchase, no other communication was done even when I reached out to find out the status of my order.

"Chair lift: We need a new remote and a black screw."
We need a new remote. We put the batteries enclosed. They did not work so we put other new batteries in and it still did not work. We would like a replacement. Also we lost the bottom black screw that tightens the track. It's the last thing on the assembly. It is up and running and we love it.

"Smooth sale and install"
After reviewing stair lifts from several manufacturers and retail sellers, we chose the AmeriGlide Rave 2 for quality, price, and little need for future servicing compared to some brands. The sales rep was knowledgeable and came out and measured accurately. The installer expertly put in two lifts in just over 1.5 hours, including time to explain the remotes and have us try the units. Very pleased!

I received a packaging with missing multiple screws. Takes me several times to speak with customer service about missing accessories. Finally, I decided to get those missing screws from Lows! Additionally, after returning the extra section that I did not used, I have not received the refund after 25 days!! I left multiple voice mail for customer service with no luck!!

"A Great Disappointment with Ameriglide!!!! We were putting two stair chairs in our…"
We were putting two stair chairs in our beach home because it is about to become our primary residence. This property is a 7 hour drive from our current home. After driving for 7+ hours I went to call our installer to tell him we would be a little late. I had asked if he was going to start right at noon or earlier and got no response. When I pulled up his number I had a message from him that unless he heard from us, he would not be here. This message was apparently delivered sometime late Friday. We were getting up at 4 AM to be here in time and never saw the message. 1) If an installer needs a last minute call to ensure someone is going to keep an appointment they begged for, that information should be given much earlier. To me it would be our responsibility to let him know if we were not going to be able to come but either way he did not show up and my husband who has bad breathing problems was forced to climb the stairs all weekend. When we got our first stairchair in Atlanta I would have (and probably did give them a 5) as they were kind, efficient and timely. AT this point I would give the Raleigh office less than a 1 if I could. John Goss our salesman obviously was not thorough if he has an installer who acts the way Keith did. I know if I had a business appointment with someone, I don't care how far away it was and I could not reach the customer I would go anyway assuming they WOULD be there. I find this disgusting customer service. The installation was fully paid for and he did not need us there to put in the new outside unit. We were bringing the unit from our current home and had it with us. He was to supply the additional rail we needed to install that unit. Again this all was 100% paid for. Today I cannot reach anyone to see when installation can be scheduled again. I wonder how long it will take to hear from anyone or if it will even be today. I wish I had never heard of Amerglide at this point or certainly not have had to deal with the Raleigh office which is THE corporate office as far as I can tell. Someone who provides any type of service for disabled people needs to CARE and this office apparently does not. I know if Keith worked for me he would no longer be at this point. BTW. NO message was sent to our home phone and they were given both.
