"All not the same"

I ticked the assembly when purchasing but for some reason it didn't come up on the final documents.
Also, it appears that the dryer isn't working properly, it's not drying well, comparing to the same machine I had previously.

"Avoid this company - seriously bad experience"

Avoid this company. They messed me about for weeks over a washer-dryer order. The delivery and installation was scheduled three times over three weeks and cancelled each time without any notification from the courier or the company. The delivery just timed out. To rebook, I had to wait for a link (i.e more asynchronous service that required me to keep checking email and wasted my time). They offered £250 as a goodwill gesture (eventually) if I hung on and tried again but refused to offer anything at all if I cancelled the order, despite part of the order still being completed. Apparently this was impossible as any ‘goodwill gesture’ is offered only as a reduction on the purchase price of the undelivered item (and obviously not the delivered item!), despite failing to meet the agreed terms, so bear that in mind if you attempt to order. Effectively you’re trapped into the contract and have to accept poor service or just lose out. I still cancelled and bought a machine from another company and another brand. The idea of going through the same ordeal if anything went wrong was too much! The individuals I dealt with were pleasant, but something is badly wrong with their internal comms and/or they don’t have the stock - that’s what their outsourced couriers implied, but they then blame the couriers for failing to load on the van. What a waste of my time.

P.s. if the social media contact replies here, you already have this information as I contacted you too. You haven’t yet replied. I wish I’d read these 1 star reviews before ordering.

"Poor communication"

I have ordered a hoover at a great price through the Martin Lewis website, which when I paid for it claimed it was next day delivery. I have not received anything since and having chased via email twice I just get a very vague reply from customer services claiming that there is a slight delay in dispatch due to a large amount of orders. This was a birthday present that will now be late if it arrives at all, and I feel very misled, why put on a special offer if you do not have the ability to cope with a surge in demand?

"Order not delivered and no customer service "

I ordered three weeks ago and still don't have my washing machine. Nobody on any phone line has been able to help me and all tell me to email. I've been emailing for two weeks and still don't have an answer.

"Absolutely appalling (nonexistent)…"

Absolutely appalling (nonexistent) customer service. Do not use Hoover (IN) Direct. I bought and paid for a washing machine online on 26 November with delivery, installation and disposal of old machine included. Went online the next day using a link provided to book delivery on 7th December, taking day off work and moving furniture about after receiving email confirmation of delivery date. Phoned that morning to ask where was the delivery. Was told that the IT system was to blame and no delivery was actually booked with their "courier". Expected proactive response by them to their own failure. Maybe even an offer of some compensation. Received only a text message. Attempts to contact them using head office phone number as before and the number provided in their own correspondence lead only to my being told it is an entirely online process. So they persist in relying on a system they admitted was broken. After various phone calls and option button pressing, I eventually have seemed to arrange a second delivery date seven working days later than the first. Confidence ebbing, I am now awaiting a reply to an email sent asking for confirmation of the second date. Confidence now drained, I don't hold much hope. Rampant megalith plc very good at taking money instantaneously online, less good at basic customer care!

I have been looking for a while for a new dryer and looked at so many they were not what I was looking for. A friend told me about going directly through the maker which I did and so glad I was told about this way of buying. As of yet I have not unpacked it as decorating before I do.

I ordered from Hoover Direct expecting reliable service, but the experience has been a disaster. After placing my order, I was asked to book a delivery date, which I confirmed for the 21st of November. That day came and went with no communication or delivery.

I chased them up on the 25th, as I still hadn't heard anything. It wasn't until the 27th that they finally responded, blaming me for providing two contact numbers. They then claimed the order had been updated and a new one sent out "as quickly as possible." I made it clear that this was unacceptable and asked for a firm delivery date, tracking details, and to raise a formal complaint.

Since then, radio silence! I've emailed again on the 28th and 29th of November, yet still no response!

The customer service is beyond appalling. Hoover Direct has proven to be untrustworthy and unreliable. Despite their association with what I thought was a reputable brand, "Hoover," they’ve shown they don't live up to that standard. My advice: avoid this company entirely and stick to other, more reliable brand and suppliers.
