I joined Buzz Talent in August 2024, and then I got my first booked assignment in October 2024. The team has been very hardworking and supportive - the CEO Helen, Caroline, and Rachael. They also find other avenues to showcase different talents by collaborating with other platform and by organising talent workshops as well. I appreciate that Helen has been organising regular team meetings. It’s been a great avenue for us to share, learn, and support each other. I used to be excited of what projects I can work on, but getting to know the team more makes me look forward to making connections along this journey. I am so delighted that I have become friends with some of the fellow buzz talents. The team is approachable and makes me feel part of the Buzz talent family. I enjoyed the exclusive events organised by the agency, and looking forward to attending more events and celebrations.

"Buzz Talent: Unethical Fees, No Work, and Late Payments"

My experience with Buzz Talent has been disappointing and raises serious concerns about their business practices.

Upfront Fees & Lack of Transparency:
Buzz Talent required me to pay an upfront fee of £144 before I even received a signed contract. According to gov.uk, legitimate agencies should not charge for representation or finding work but instead earn through commission. Buzz Talent already takes a 25% commission—higher than the industry standard—so charging an upfront fee seems unnecessary and questionable. I was already registered on Spotlight, yet this fee was still mandatory, with no clear explanation of what it covered.

Lack of Work & Unhelpful Responses:
Over the course of my two-year contract, I only received three casting calls and no actual work. When I raised concerns about this and requested a refund, I was instead offered another two years for free—which didn’t address the issue. Their excuse was that I had unsubscribed from their mailing list, meaning they “couldn’t legally contact me” under GDPR. However, I had assumed that as my agency, they would still send relevant casting opportunities rather than just blanket marketing emails.

Non-Payment Issues:
I finally secured one job in January, but now 9 weeks later, I still haven’t been paid. Other team members (represented by different agencies) have received their payments, yet Buzz Talent has ignored multiple emails chasing payment. Their own contract states that payment will be made within 6 weeks, but they have failed to meet this deadline. Another talent from the same job, also with Buzz Talent, is experiencing the same issue.

Final Thoughts:
Buzz Talent does not operate in line with standard industry practices. Their upfront fees raise red flags, the lack of work opportunities is concerning, and their failure to pay on time is unacceptable. I would strongly advise performers to avoid this agency and seek representation from more reputable agencies that follow ethical and professional standards.

Ignore the fake reviews. If you have paid a fee to join.. contact your bank to get a refund. Its fraud. I used to work for buzz. They get work but not enough to be taking on new clients. The fact they charge them is despicable. They also wont actively find you work.. You have to do all the chasing looking out for castings etc..

SCAM ARTISTS avoid this agency at all costs they took the money from me when I applied and when they had their money they told me I wasn’t suitable for any jobs due to my height and I had to be over 5ft 10 for most jobs but I wasn’t told this as I joined, 2 years I was on the books for and not one job was given to me. TERRIBLE AGENCY ignore all “good” reviews you see don’t get lured in and make the same mistake I did. Once they have their money from you they don’t want to know you!
