"Stay Far Away"

Stay Far Away. I will never do business with Hoodmart again. I worked with a representative for a HOME brewery application in my basement. They seemed to understand what that meant. They even charged me extra for a home delivery. I ordered early due to concern over supply chain. I stored the equipment in my garage until my builder was ready for it, which admittedly was longer than the return policy. My builder came a few months later and discovered we would not be able to utilize the equipment. The unit required welding, we would have had to pipe ductwork to the roof which is difficult in a tight house, or vent out the side which would have been the view from my front door entrance. While I understand some of this is on myself and my builder, and I was told EVERY time I called that the all sales are final and the return policy is basically nonexistent, I don't feel like Hoodmart stands at all behind their product. The sales people should not even entertain a home application for these hoods. They are clearly only for commercial purposes. Now I'm out $3300 and I'm told "we hope you understand we have a small warehouse". No, I don't understand. Shame on you! Lastly, we discovered concealed damage on the fan unit (no scratches on the box). The fan was dented. They wanted me to do a concealed damage claim with the freight company. Why on earth would that be the customers responsibility. Just a terrible experience all around and I'm baffled a company can't do right by their customers. Fool me once, never again.
