From my first telephone call and visit to the Clapham showroom, the service was exceptional. The staff helped and advised me with the order and kept me updated as the sofa was being made. The delivery was also smooth and professional. The sofa itself (blue leather) is beautiful and well made. A very satisfied customer here.

The showroom staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgable.
There was a delay to sourcing the leather for our order which was disappointing and then a further delay after our chosen leather arrived in the workshop, however this was because of the team being unhappy with the ‘colour match’ of the leather - can’t argue with their attention to how the finished products (multiple items) would look together and much better to wait and get it right.
Unfortunately there was a small fault on one of the sofas but the team could not have been more apologetic, helpful and willing to correct it as soon as possible,
The delivery team were again very helpful, polite and professional.

"Post sales service is angering!"
Before sales service is sparking with Distinctive. You’ll be amazed and happy—but you may be fooled. I was. As soon as the payment was made it has been impossible to reach the company. It’s now been nearly a month since payment and I still have no furniture. When you see the delivery windows realise they’ve written an iron clad contract to essentially never deliver your furniture and still never return your funds—as long as they feel they have an intent to at some point deliver your furniture. I’ve called numerous times, sent numerous emails, and have been mostly ignored. Agents will tell you they will work the problem and get back to you that day—and will never again contact you. Back to square one. I did get confirmation last week that they could deliver next week Monday or Tuesday (my choice) but that I would have to assist the driver in unloading—even though it will only be delivered to the ground floor. I asked, with the delivery being weeks late and then expecting me to do the unloading, for my delivery fee back; I also confirmed I’d like the furniture Monday. Was told to not expect a refund for the delivery fee as the contract permits essentially anything and they’d get back with me to confirm the date; surprise (!), they failed to and I have no idea if I’m getting a delivery tomorrow or not.
Why do you care: you deserve what you’re paying for. That includes delivery and your furniture when you are quoted you’ll receive it, but also you’re paying a lot for furniture and you want that extended warranty. I can’t imagine a scenario where Distinctive will be helpful. They stand behind their product until the sale and then stop communicating. Don’t be fooled. Avoid.
