"lack of communication - suspected scam"

Do to lack of communication, I thought this was a scam and notified my bank to get my payment back. I finally received a mail from this company to finalise the date which was two weeks after the dates I had asked them for with no reply from them and informed them of what I had done and why. I believe they answered once and never heard from them again apart from one mail to respond with a rating. This company could be good but their communication is such a failure that they come across as a scam.
