All the staff from reception to the sales team were brilliant very polite and very helpful and it was great to see Ray who first sold me my old X5. Just purchased 73pl 330E M Sport from Sandal after viewing cars at several BMW dealers. The car was prepared to to a very high standard which was matched by the excellent customer service from Jack Oakley. I have no hesitation in recomending the team at Sandal. Although this was a company purchase they still made it feel very special.

I took my 520D in for a service on the 19th of June , I had a small issue then as I was expecting a lift home , but I failed to communicate my intentions to the reception team . After an hour I was questioned by the receptionist as to what I was doing on site still , she realised it was a communication issue and a member of the service team came out to me with the driver . I was unaware that I needed to formally tell them , I was under the impression that they knew , obviously they did not . It is easy to kick off about these issues and start complaining , but this was basically my fault . Really happy with the service and after care including having the vehicle washed , despite what I have wrote above they are a comfortable country mile in front of Stratstone BMW in Leeds . I feel you pay more for BMW ownership , but also I feel they do their best to look after you , mistakes are made in life ...... using Sandal BMW won't be one of them .

I have felt the need to share my experience at Sandal BMW Wakefield in relation to a service/warranty matter for my pride and joy, a 2007 335i coupe. I have spent thousands on it over the years ensuring it looks and drives great.
My issue started a few months back when it began to miss fire from a cold start - only for about 20/30 seconds of driving, it would then clear up and be fine - until it had cooled down and been stood for a few hours (already screaming “leaking injector”).
I replaced the ignition coils and spark plugs with new, non OEM (but high performance: Bavarian and NGK) to eliminate those as causes. Still the same issue.
In August 2022, Sandal BMW Wakefield replaced all 6 injectors with index 12’s under a vehicle recall. The injectors are still under their 2 year warranty so I proceeded to book it in, hoping they would be replaced and problem solved.
Not the case! My car wasn’t even looked at the day I dropped it off, I had to call on day 2 at lunchtime for an update, to which I was told: Mr Foster, firstly your car has aftermarket air filters on it, it also has a loose breather pipe and an iffy looking earth wire repair. Our mechanic has been out on a test drive and cant find any problems.
I was then advised to address the above issues (I have replaced the breather pipe and fixed the earth wire) and return the car to stock of there wasn't anything else they could do!
So I have my car back, I was charged £167.50 for the hours time and I still have the issue/miss fire I took the car in with. Injectors are circa £300 each and testing them means removal, new teflon seals and couplers to put back.
Im really annoyed and I feel that because my cars old they just aren’t bothered. I’m in a predicament here, I know its faulty injectors and I know they should be replaced free of charge - but what do I do? Risk being ripped off again by BMW and the issue not being resolved?
Worth noting this is the 4th BMW I have owned and 2nd 2007 335i. I have had both new and old, 2016 335d touring and a 2019 M5.
It shouldn’t matter, if only BMW looked after their current customers as well as they do the new customers in their showrooms!!

"Nearly caused me to have a car crash and still no apology. "
I have been going to this branch for many years without any problems. Unfortunately a few months ago I booked my car in for some work on my brakes pads, calipers and discs which was recommended by the same branch after booking in for a costly diagnostic check. It was a different technician who carried out the work but stated the first technician was incorrect with the diagnosis on my brakes, claimed my brakes were fine and that it was my handbrake that needed loosening. I explained that my rear tyres and alloys were getting very hot and sticking and clearly there was a problem which was dismissed. Shortly after leaving the garage and heading on the motorway my brakes failed to work properly, both my handbrake and footbrake, nearly resulting in a horrific accident that left me distressed and afraid to drive again. They made me wait a few weeks before giving me an apt to rectify the damage they did to my handbrake after complaining and failed to apologise, admilt the error or carry out the work that it was initially booked for. I then complained to BMW who stated that i had to deal with the branch directly who then tried to falsify the version of events which the sales assistant later admitted to. I will never purchase a BMW car again and have now had the brakes replaced at another branch. Three branches admitted that the technician had made a serious and dangerous mistake to my car. The service has gone downhill over the years to the point where they are now compromising on the safety of their loyalty customer and putting their lives at risk by employing incompetent technicians yet charging more.

Bought my BMW 1 Series from Sandal BMW Wakefield in January. I dealt with Ikhlas and nothing was too much trouble.
My car was written off about 2 weeks before, so I was struggling to find a replacement. After I found the perfect car at Sandal, within a week I had the keys in my hand. Ikhlas even went out his way to get my partner some flowers on handover day!
I can't recommend Ikhlas and the Sandal car buying experience enough!

My stunning bmw x5 m50d went in for a 50k service only to come out of there workshop with the dip stick hanging out thus causing the oil to spew out all over then make accusations regarding my integrity
Ive took a oil sample to find out its got high levels of iron in due to worn cylinders once again ive been accused of tampering with the evidence damaged my interior also 3 weeks later ive still not got my car
Also with the oil covering the sound proofing which is a fire hazard only to be told by sandal it doesnt need changing and at the end of all this iam £500 down with a car i cant use
