"Not Service-Oriented"
What you pay for is the service; anyone can find a villa independently on any number of web sites. You pay for the concierge to provide the insiders perspective on the nuances of a specific location. I have planned trips to over 50 different countries utilizing various travel companies. Most recently, I booked a villa in Lake Como through OneFineStay and this was by far the worse travel experience that I have ever had. First, having rented the villa about a year in advance, I had to initiate contact with the concierge team in advance of my departure to arrange airport transfers, a rental car, and again for pre-arrival grocery services, and a private chef dinner. The villa slept eight people and my party included six adults so I requested a vehicle to accommodate six without knowing that there was a one-lane road that included a very narrow bridge required to access the villa. (Note: the airport shuttle could not access the villa and required a two-part transfer via smaller vehicle.) OneFineStay provided a seven-seater Mercedes SUV. Upon arrival, both the rental car delivery driver and the villa property manager noted that the vehicle was too big to navigate the access road without damage. After driving it once, I immediately requested a replacement vehicle. Since no one at OFS apparently monitors emails on weekends, it took two additional days for OFS to provide the replacement, leaving my guests and I stranded at the villa (with unreliable taxi service in Lake Como and very few to accommodate a party of six). For some reason, OFS rented the vehicle from Milan instead of renting it locally which resulted in another $200 vehicle delivery fee. Only after my insistence, OFS finally agreed to absorb the $200 delivery fee for the replacement vehicle. This resulted in a very stressful first few days of a limited vacation. I will never use OneFineStay ever again and would never recommend them due to the lack of attentiveness/service-orientation, lack of knowledge of the villa/local area, and lack of timeliness in which they resolve issues or concerns.

This was our first rental through Airbnb. The accommodation was perfect for 4 people. The area is quiet and close to London tube stations. The restaurants located in the surrounding area offer a variety of possibilities for all tastes. In short, this environment allowed us to have a good time at our own pace. After discussions, we found that this accommodation formula has, in our opinion, advantages over a stay spent in a hotel. We will consider Onefinestay offers for our future trips.

"I’m sorry I have to write a negative…"
I’m sorry I have to write a negative review, but we were very disappointed with the property we stayed in on Albion Street. The small bedroom at the back of the main floor was very musty. The smell was so strong that we felt it was unhealthy to sleep there. So we slept on the couch in the living room instead. Some wine glasses we took down from from an easily accessible shelf in the kitchen had a dirty film all over them. We had to wash them before we could use them. The coffee machine in the kitchen was very sophisticated and there were no instructions on how to use it. Nor were there any specialized coffee supplies to go with it. We eventually found a French Press at the back of one of the shelves in the kitchen but we would have expected that something as important as a coffee maker should have been more straightforward. There were no soap pods to get us started in using the clothes washing machine. All we could find was a bottle of detergent that had a sticker on it saying not to use it - it belonged to the home owner. In fact, the whole home felt cluttered with the owners’ belongings and instructions not to use or touch things. Also, it would have been very helpful if there had been a booklet with detailed info about the property and the neighbourhood. For example, we had to find out on our own that the best grocery store in the neighbourhood was Waitrose, about 4 blocks away. (I had to inquire at a convenience store to get this info.) It would also have been helpful to have a list of good restaurants in the neighbourhood. It was only on our 4th day staying at the property that we were able to find one about 3 blocks away - The Victoria Pub! I could continue with deficiencies in the property such as the burnt out lights in both the dining room and the living room, etc. But I’ll stop here. In summary, our experience on Albion Street and with One Fine Stay didn’t match up to the experiences we’ve had with other agencies in different locations in the world. For example, after leaving London, we went to Paris where we rented a lovely apartment through the agency Paris Perfect. Both the property and the agency there were first class. I should also mention that our son, who was at Albion Street with us, owns a rental property in the world class skiing resort Whistler, BC, Canada. He too was surprised and unhappy with the condition of the Albion property and the lack of useful support information. The agency that manages his property in Whistler would not tolerate that.

"Top Notch Customer Service Pairs with Lovely Property"
My family and I traveled to the UK in August for about 20 days of holiday. We started our trip in the UK in London and used OneFineStay to book our lodging for that week. We had a terrific experience.
Due to a bad car accident, we had to make an unexpected return back through London -- and we needed a place to stay. I reached out to the folks at OneFineStay to help us find a place at the very last minute -- and they didn't disappoint. The customer service was top notch, and the homes were both lovely. We can't wait to travel again with their help.

the staff at the villa were friendly and accommodating. the process to make the reservations and arrange for any special needs or excursions was easy. the only downside was i wish my desserts could have been homemade versus bought from a store.
