"I just changed my service to T mobile…"
I just changed my service to T mobile and I'm very happy with them. Now Spectrum is offering to lower my price which is still higher that T mobile. I returned my equipment today and the returns email shows that I still have an active account even though I cancelled it yesterday, Now I have to contact them AGAIN (third time) and they tell me it is cancelled and that they WON"T prorate the bill even though it's been only 2 weeks of service they still are going to charge me a full month $85. I said to them "of course you are" because I would expect this company to grab every last dollar from it's customers that they can. I'm Very happy to be leaving Spectrum for T Mobile.

"RUN do not walk away from this bunch of…"
RUN do not walk away from this bunch of liars and thieves. We tried to COME BACK after being away for years and before we could get the internet equipment they tried to say we still owed them $500 for equipment we turned in years ago when we were with them. We had already purchased an iPhone so we cancelled everything and send the phone back and upon receipt of a brand new never used phone in the box they are saying something was wrong with it and only giving us $37 back out of $117!!!!! Bunch of liars and thieves.

"Monopoly of thieves"
I wish we had an alternative choice. Their customer service full of liers and theirs never any evidence of what they offer you meaning you waste hours with exculations that don't care and all cover for eacher. The customer is never priority just offers to take more money as much as they can from you.. .HATE HATE HATE this company ... I beg for a competitor......

"Make it extremely hard to cancel service."
Returned cable equipment in person 9/26 and requested to cancel cable and keep internet. Confirmed with customer service representative at the counter that all would be handled. Spectrum then billed for cable. Called to have bill corrected before it hit account 13 days later 10/15. Stayed on hold and tied up with Spectrum for over 45 minutes. Spectrum responded that in store representative was unable to remove cable, customer service over the phone is unable to remove cable, only retention services can remove cable. Spoke with retention services over the phone. Assured me that cable was back dated and removed and would not be billed 13 days later when payment hit account. It was not removed. Back on hold today. Going on 25 minutes as of this review. In person didn't work, over the phone didn't work. They make it very hard to cancel and get your money back.

"honest feedback"
We are a local general contractor in Jackson, WY. We pride ourselves on being communicative, thorough, and professional. Dealing with spectrum to hook up internet at our construction sites has been a multi-year terrible experience on all fronts. Communication is non-existent, and there is no direct point of contact. It's the worst part of all of our jobs. When you wake up, question your purpose, and existence, the problem is surely... Spectrum.

"CONNECT WITH SPECTRUM BUT BE ON ALERT!!!"
I have been a Spectrum customer since 9/2/20 unhappily.
The service I receive is deplorable.
I have TV; Internet; and phone service with Spectrum.
The system has countless flaws.
An installer left an extra receiver and remote at my property despite me informing him I had no other TV for the equipment.
I have paid monthly for 36 months for the extra receiver and remote. This alone totals $360.00 plus taxes.
The reception I have an my TV has too many episodes of pixels or frozen screens.
If I try to watch TV on my computer there is Spectrum's Menu Guide flashing on the screen constantly on any channel.
It is impossible to watch TV on my computer.
The WiFi with my service is non-existent.
I have spoken to Spectrum. Done online chats. And as a last resort sent letters to Spectrum's CEO and Senior Vice President of Customer Operations in Stamford, CT.
I am entitled to an ACP monthly credit since May 2023.
I have received only 2 $30 credits since May 2023.
Spectrum's response is to phone them.
I have just undergone major surgery and I am not in a condition for any long-winded conversations that will resolve nothing. I do not need the upset.
Sadly Spectrum is the only service provider in my area.
In my opinion Spectrum provides customers faulty equipment. Refuses to take a complaint seriously.
But Spectrum has the nerve to charge through the nose.
My September bill was $255.49 for their Silver Tier service.
An increase of $31.00.
A customer should be able to decide what channels they need. Not the provider.
Dealing with Spectrum is a losing battle.
At this time my only recourse is to return the extra receiver and remote left here 36 months ago; and return a DVR to reduce my escalated bill.
I never expect to monthly receive the ACP credit I am entitled to.
I will decide soon how I can further reduce my monthly bill with Spectrum.
Additionally. I have never missed a payment with Spectrum. My payment record is flawless.

"May be recorded for quality assurance means nothing."
There is no nationwide increase in price every year. It is an individual increase in price, toying with each customer to get as much as possible out of each bill.
'This phone call may be recorded for quality assurance' means nothing to spectrum, they delete those calls if even ever recorded in the first place. No matter what phone conversation a customer has with spectrum, the price will always increase, and they will always argue with you the reasons until you either give in, or just disconnect your service.
Like Google, Spectrum monopolizes the internet and controls everything and everyone, denying any accusations to extortion. But this is precisely what it is, extortion and monopolization. And they will say the same line, every year, every time. And if you do finally get one representative that works it out, make sure you record the entire conversation and keep that recording indefinitely, because Spectrum will deny even having that conversation. And even then, it matters not. Customers are just small cogs in the wheel that feed the pocket-books of CEO's.
At this point, corporations need to just be honest and openly say, "We are here to extort you, and monopolize the industry.", there is no reason to even attempt to gloss it over with statements regarding Quality Assurance. Everyone knows that every corporation is corrupt, and their customers are meaningless. Just be honest Spectrum, and make that your new slogan;
"We are here to extort you, and monopolize the industry."

"Questionable salesman strategies"
Obviously inflated prices s othat you "call for a deal". But hey everybody does that!
What was worse was cancelling the service. I got gaslighted about why I want to cancel the service. When I told them I was getting only 150Mbps, and that I get faster internet with 5g T-Mobile service, I was left with answer, "and did you complain?". Completely distasteful experience. Also, they did not even bother to tell me the disconnection date or anything, I had to call them again to make sure my service was actually cancelled.
Cherry on top of the cake, about 2 weeks later I got a cold call. When I answered the call, I got an old man jokingly asking me "I cannot see any service on your account, is that a problem in our system?". Long story short, he was again gaslighting me, and presenting me false facts about the spectrum service. The man made me so angry; I ended up shouting at him, not to ever call my number again and hanging up at him. What kind of customer retaining strategy is this?

"Get your own modem and mesh router system and enjoy fast internet for low price."
I don’t know why rating are so low for Spectrum.net.
I have spectrum and I am very happy with it. At $20 a month you can have 300/Mbps Wi-Fi!
Even cheaper than Optimum. I payed $30 dollars for the same Mbps.
They also have cheap phone plans but I don’t know how it works yet.
But spectrum promises 300/mbps and delivers it with the right gear of course. Meaning never buy their Modems or Routers, you’ll only end up paying more monthly.

"Purchased a new phone and got a…"
Purchased a new phone and got a refurbished nonworking phone. I wanted a Samsung S22 Ultra but they were out of them and talked me into an Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max. I am disabled and drive from Ohio to Pittsburgh Pa. for all of my medical needs. I am pending 5 major surgeries and need a phone if my car would break down on the road as it is over an 80-mile drive one way to some of my Drs. The first time I tried to use it to take some pics while I was over there not one picture came out. I then tried to use the GPS on the way home as they had construction on the normal route I took home. The GPS would not work on the phone. I could not send or receive texts or make a call. I called and was told I have to call Apple as I didn't purchase the extended warranty I tried to get the warranty when I ordered the phone but the lady who sold me the phone said she needed to go it was her lunch time and hung up on me. I purchased an extended warranty from Apple. I could not get any help from Spectrum at all so I called Apple and they told me that I lied to them that I told them I just bought the phone new but there was no factory warranty left on it and it was a used phone and they would not cover it as it was over a year old and used not new as I told them. Spectrum was charging me HUGE data charges and I told them the phone did not work at all I could not even get it to come on and the one time I could a tech from Spectrum said the same thing that it was over a year old and had no warranty on it. The tech could not remotely help me at all telling me to call back in and demand a new phone. I continued to call for days on the phone with them and got nowhere I wrote the Attorney General and the next day a lady called me offering me 4yrs free of 400GB internet. I asked her what was she going to do about the phone she said she would check into it and see what she could do. After talking to her for 3 days she gave me the phone number of a guy in the mobile department I said why did I waste all this time with you and all you want to do is to give me free internet? She stated she was in customer retention and honestly had nothing to do with the mobile side of the company. I talked to the guy for several days on the phone he always promised to call me at a certain time the next day and NEVER called me back when he said he would I~ would just blow up his cell phone with calls until he called me.`This went on for 6 months and I got nowhere. I finally got a girl who said she could help me after she spoke to her supervisor she offered me the Samsung S22 Ultra and credit for all my payments maid and some were with over $200 in data fees that I said I never used since I could not even use the phone it had sat in the box it came in with the battery dead. So I figured OK if they were going to give me credit for all I paid on the phone and send me a new phone I would be satisfied. The girl took my credit card info and charged me several hundred dollars and Then when the new phone came and I had seen my credit card statement and the statement from Spectrum where I got no credit for all I paid on the phone they said they did not know I had the phone that long when they said that and refused to give me the credit and wanted MORE money to activate the phone I told them where to go and went to Verizon which is a whole other story. Then ended up giving me a shutoff notice for my internet saying that the for some reason I could not understand that they were not giving me what I was promised by the other lady and she now will not answer her phone or respond to any emails I send her.
