"If the rating could be zero... it would."

Poor service, waste of time, and affected our Credit Score.

We had a very poor customer service experience. The 'Mortgage Broker' (who only has access to one company) thus not a true mortgage broker... bailed on us with less than a week before the closing date on our house. She had told us that we would qualify so we made an offer on a house. She spent a further week clarifying info and then informed us that Nesto would not provide the mortgage. We had to quickly find another mortgage broker who also had to pull our credit score (again) but she was able to get us approved in 48 hours vice a week and a half of interactions and then bailing. This made things incredibly stressful for my wife and I and our family of 13. Overall a very poor experience with the representative from Nesto.

I was shopping around for lenders for competitive rates, and nesto was very quickly able to set me up with an offer. I was satisfied with their responsiveness and process.

"Great customer experience"

They got back on any questions concerns or issues very quickly. They offered a good rate but after interviewing me they offered an even better one. They answered questions late in the day very quickly- the same day. In all my dealings with me they reminded me of what a customer should be treated like. When a staff member was not the appropriate person to assist me (I was clumsily trying to upload the documents to the portal) they quickly connected me with someone who could help. The product fits my needs and my budget.

"Absolutely fantastic"

Absolutely fantastic throughout the whole process. I dealt with Elischa on a number of attempted purchases and finally on my completed one. The rates were better than anything offered through banks or through a variety of mortgage brokers I dealt with in person.

Throughout the process he gave clear instructions and was a great communicator.

Highly recommended.

"Legal Scam"

I'm disheartened to share my disappointing experience with Nesto as my mortgage lender. Since the commencement of my mortgage in April 2023, I've faced ongoing issues that remain unresolved despite my attempts to seek clarification and resolution. About 10 emails and more phone calls.


The disparity between my previous mortgage balance with CIBC, amounting to 603,463 CAD $, and the inflated starting balance of 606,117 CAD $ with Nesto raises questions about transparency and accuracy in their calculations. Understanding the factors contributing to this substantial change remains elusive, despite my attempts to seek clarification.

I've attempted to address these concerns with Nesto, but the lack of response or resolution is disheartening. The absence of transparency and promptness in addressing customer issues is unacceptable.

I'm open to understanding unforeseen circumstances, but the lack of communication and resolution efforts from Nesto have left me frustrated. I remain eager to resolve these issues promptly and am willing to cooperate for a satisfactory resolution.

It's my hope that by sharing this experience, Nesto can prioritize transparency, promptness, and effective communication to better serve their customers better.

UPDATE: November 17/2023 a cheque finally showed up it’s for 808.75 CAD. However, the cheque for 808.75 CAD does not account for the difference in our mortgage starting balance: 606,117 CAD - 603,463 CAD = 2,654 CAD Updating the review to 2 star. More people are now involved and I am getting more emails/calls about the situation. Hopefully I get the rest of my money soon. I will adjust the review accordingly
