"Very good customer service."
I bought my vehicle back in February and all went well and was pleased with the efficiency of it all. Due to Covid lockdown, my home charging station was not installed until November. It was only then that I found out the The Type 1 charging cable was faulty and would not charge the car. I emailed buy-a-car who replied promptly, giving me a site where I could buy a cable and they would refund me. I was refunded the same day I purchased the cable. I am extremely pleased with the service I received.

"I had an awful experience with this…"
I had an awful experience with this company when I first got my lease back in 2018, I reserved a vehicle that they then gave to someone else. The problem was resolved (I never got the original car and had to pay more monthly for something similar). Fast forward, I handed the car back in 2020 and replaced it for something different, I paid the finance off on this new vehicle and have had it since. However, after purchasing the car, Buyacar have retained all of the car's documentation other than the manual booklet and the V5. They have all the vehicles service history (which I need) and have seemingly vanished off the face of the planet. They no longer have a phone number on their website, if you message them on social media, the number they give in their auto-generated response is old, doesn't connect and they don't respond to any of their e-mails or other messages. This is truly a company that doesn't care at all once you've signed and agreed to give them money. You will never be able to contact them after sale!

"Worst experience"
I found perfect car for me after all arrangements, paying deposit etc. It was in 2020 March during covid regulations. I couldn’t view the car before so all was done online. Everything looked perfect, car amazing. On delivery day 20.04.2020, hour before I got the call from them saying that during the loading car they hit and scratched rear bumper, I was devastated. They assured me that scratch is barely visible, they will send detailing guy or I can hold delivery and look for another car. 1hr before delivery!!!! I agree for car to be delivered regardless. Once was delivered I took around view there was more scratches and scuffs covered by MARKER!!! Plus drives syncopated mirror broken. They said if I’m not happy and I wanna send car back I need to pay 350£ for towing!!!!!! 🤦🏼♀️ I was upset noone answered the calls as they delivered car after 3 hrs not 1, their office was closed. I decided to keep the car as I loved that from beginning.I took all photos also from delivery guy and I send email to them at the same day with proofs of scratches. All I got was 100£ refund and detailed to buff scratches. No apologies no nothing. Complete ignorance.!!!!

"Car not registered to my name!!!"
I bought a car from the company back in 2019. I am looking to return it to the finance company after the 4 year lease is up to find out they didn't register to my name! I do not have the V5 document in my paperwork and only just realised.
I called DVLA who told me it's not under my name. I have tried to email the company and I just got a auto reply stating they no longer provide services.
This is very annoying and I can seem to get hold of anyone from the company to help me.

"Car not registered to me. No response from customer support. Fines incurred."
I purchased my car through buyacar.co.uk in Feb 2020 and have been pleased with the car. However I am far from happy with this company! At the time of purchase they registered the car to their a ‘finance company’, and not to me, this means the Log Book (V5C document) is inaccurate (dose not have my name as the owner/ registered keeper), which caused my road tax payment to not be processed. This error directly lead to my car being clamped for not being-tax while on a public road. I was forced to pay £200 to the clamp-Stasi while I waited for hours was stranded without a car for most of that day. It is virtually impossible to contact this company. 2 years on I still have issues paying for the road tax because of their ineptitude, I’m unable to use the online DVLA system because of the wrong name on the Log Book, I have to take a binder of Car / ID documents to the post office and do it that way.
I’m currently in communication with the DVLA into o get my car registered and Cities advice to claim back the £200 fine that I incurred because of their incompetence.
Note - I have seen on his forum that two other customers have had the same problem.

"DIDN'T REGISTER MY CAR TO ME"
I purchased a car through buyacar in 2020. They did not register the car in my name like they said they would. I did not know this until this weekend (2 years later) when I was pulled over by the police who threatened to arrest me and tow the car away because it wasn't registered to me. This meant that my Tax direct debit also didnt renew because the car wasnt registered to anyone. I spent hours by the side of the road with the police and now I have fines to pay to the DVLA as well as £80 to register the car in my name. I emailed buyacar who have said it is not their problem and advised me to sort it out myself and that I should have checked and chased the DVLA myself when they didnt do what they said they would. Useless company who have cost me a lot of money in fines that aren't my fault. Just buy your car somewhere else they will definitely miss something somewhere.

"Not registered in my name"
I financed my car in 2020, the car itself is okay although it does make a rattling noise when idle which has been seen to several times by engineers now at my own cost and is not resolved. The issue I have is that BuyaCar never registered me as the keeper so the car is not in my name whatsoever. I contacted BuyaCar many times via email to ask them to look in to this and send me the V5 form and haven't received any response. Really frustrating.

"AVOID."
AVOID.
Bought a car last September and within the first few weeks engine warning light came on, phoned buyacar who advised to take it to a local garage. Garage couldn’t find a fault code so advised to change the sensor as it seemed faulty. Buyacar we’re very helpful up until this point.
Engine light came on AGAIN 3 months later, phoned buyacar they said to take to a Nissan dealer, which they did a thorough investigation - didn’t find any issue with the engine light but found it needed new break pads and a new tire which was ILLEGAL! Break pads were down as far as they could. still having problems with the engine, no garage can find a fault and buy a car have said it’s not their problem anymore.
Do not buy from them, yes they were very helpful at first but I now have a faulty car and no one wants to take responsibility!! All they said was I have driven a few thousand miles so that’s why the light has come back on, oh please. The car had an engine fault when sold & now I’m having to pay out for the repairs, disgraceful. In a finance agreement so now I’m completely stuck with a faulty car and no way to pay for it. Totally unacceptable.

"I bought a car from buyacar"
I bought a car from Buyacar, the brake pads had issue it was making whistling noise so I inform them and they promptly resolve the issue. The car it self drives super smooth with no issue. I definitely recommend them.
Many thanks Buyacar
