"poor"

The car I have is damaged. The front bumper keeps popping out and it’s definitely not my fault. Upon reporting it I was told not to worry and can change the car in 3 years time. I don’t want to be paying for a car that’s falling apart. Repairs need to be made. There is no direct call centre. Keep getting told someone will call me back and no one ever does. I’ve sent emails to Carbar with no response.

"The whole process from initial contact…"

The whole process from initial contact to car hire was incredibly easy with great team members. I expected the process to be cumbersome - akin to borrowing your dad’s car as a teenager!!
The high level of service extends to when you’ve had the car for a while including the time I had a car accident. Top marks for customer service - great team!

The only less positive feedback is the range of vehicles - was hoping for a few more mini coopers but I’ll survive 😁

"I had to follow up so many times and…"

I had to follow up so many times and struggled to get a call back. Only my persistence eventually leaded to me trading my car in and renting a new one.
Happy with the outcome but the service was poor.

"Future of car mobility and the death of ownership"

Great service, good communication. Website a little clunky in managing account and subscriptions (needs to be improved) and not all cars are available but the team work hard finding a similar vehicle. Definitely the way of the future and no more owning cars for me.

"I am very happy that I bought my Volvo…"

I am very happy that I bought my Volvo from Carbar. Pleasent, helpful staff who presented a clean car with a full tank of fuel. The manager, Shannon was helpful,never pressing and left me to eyeball the car without bothering me, rather a change from some car dealerships.
I recommend the Company.

"Don't care about business"

Tried to contact them multiple times.
Says they will get back to me, but didn't.
They kept asking for my details, bank statements, credit card, etc.
Each car I chose, after the process, they would say it was unavailable for different reasons.

"Unprofessional and incompetent"

I wanted to hire for a period of 3/4 months an SUV - Range Rover, MB, Audi


My son and I tried to arrange a car for a hire period of 3/4 months, we first stated contact last August and have found the expertise, competence and general attitude to be woeful

Admittedly we are in WA, how ever that does not mitigate the gross incompetence and failure to deliver the promised vehicle on time.

The young lady whom we first dealt with- Belle - was clearly out of her depth or very new to the job. Errol the GM found it difficult to answer his phone or respond to voicemails, or apparently to honor what he had put in writing
I would caution anyone who wants to use this company to be very circumspect and can only conclude that the 5 star reviews are from friends and family

Whilst understanding Carbar are a relatively new company into this market, one does feel that a degree of competence and professionalism would be forthcoming- sure people make mistakes but honor your mistakes and ameliorate the issue, don’t just say we will return your deposit- that is a cop out

In the end the company have offered to return the $2000 deposit rather than resolve and ameliorate the issue in a professional manner

"I am so very happy with Carbar"

I am so very happy with Carbar. Their model is different to most. It starts with their 300k 3 day test drive. They delivered the car to my house, and then worked with me over the next few days to help me get to my buying decision. Jacinta was amazing. Extremely responsive and professional. I've never really been given the opportunity to see if a vehicle is right for me up front before. Then from there, there were a couple of small items that needed to be addressed, so they loaned me another car for a few more days while they took care of that. I can't imaging a better buying experience anywhere. They have a lot of cars in their building. Get online and check it all out :)
Oh - and there's something else. It's not like the process was flawless. Life is not a straight line. But they took responsibliity for anything along the way that they could and left me feeling like we had all won.
