While I understand the shopping experience has changed in this "new normal", The Lounge Co is going to the extreme. First, the front door at the Chiswick location is locked. You have to stand there and wait until someone sees you to open the door. Then it's unlocked and you enter. The door is locked immediately behind you. This is a fire hazard. Your temperature is taken which is clearly a show as you can be asymptomatic and have the virus so taking a temperature accomplishes nothing. You are told to use hand sanitiser-pretty normal. But then you are asked to wear plastic gloves. Seriously?!? I want to touch a sofa or chair that I'm buying. Not touch it with plastic gloves. There is spray that can be sprayed regularly on the furniture if you feel COVID germs are on the furniture. I can sit on the furniture in shorts and a Tshirt so my exposed skin is touching the fabric but I cannot actually touch it with my hands for fear of spreading COVID. Total rubbish. I've been to many furniture shops during the "new normal" and never have I experienced this behaviour. Finally, I wanted fabric swatches and had to ask someone from behind the till-seems to be the gathering spot for the staff. I asked for GPlan swatches and told I have to order from GPlan's website...ok, why are you selling their furniture if you can't provide samples. Sorry, I won't be back and I cannot recommend you.

So happy with my two new sofas! Very comfortable. I first saw the sofa in Ely’s department store in Wimbledon. The staff there were really helpful. I then placed my order over the phone and spoke to a lovely lady. The delivery was great too. All I had to do was put on the feet which was easy! Would recommend. Saving up for a matching footstool now!

The staff in The Lounge Co shop in Chiswick were friendly and helpful when we visited to look at furniture. Attentive but not overbearing.
The ordering process was well handled from start to finish. We were kept advised by email and phone as to what was going to happen and anticipated timescales.
Delivery was also spot on: confirmation by email of delivery by email was followed up by a couple of texts and a final call by telephone from the guys that delivered. Along with the rest of our experience the two guys that delivered were brilliant.
Faultless experience throughout.

I would have liked to give 5* for this review as I love the sofas we purchased, but the seat stuffing is absolute rubbish. We asked the guy in the Chiswick shop for the stuffing that needs the least plumping,well if that is what we got I would hate to see the other stuffing. We are constantly plumping up the sofas and I mean we have to do it every time we sit on them. We only had them delivered Feb/March and I'm already wondering if I can get them reupholstered or add some extra foam somehow. Such a shame. DONT get the feather wrapped foam stuffing.

Fab customer service when ordering and we received the sofa 2 months before they said it would be ready which was a huge bonus! We ordered the navy blue velvet Melody and it’s gorgeous, so big and cosy.
