"Bad customer service!"

Bad customer service!
Placed an order 5th of June, heard absolutely nothing for 9 days. Rang up and asked for an update...oh your item is not in stock!!!! Would have been nice to know.
Cancelled the order and now just waiting for my refund.

"NEVER AGAIN!"

I bought a set of six glasses from this company for a Christmas present. They arrived, the box wrapped outside (!) in bubble wrap! Unfortunately I did not open to check contents until the day before Christmas Eve, on opening I discovered the contents were not protected at all, only divided by flimsy cardboard ! - absolutely ridiculous for sending glasses! I took out each one to wrap myself in tissue paper to protect before wrapping box for Christmas, unfortunately but not at all surprisingly one was broken. I contacted the company on 23rd December - although no Christmas opening hours on the recording they were clearly closed. I had no choice but to drive half an hour away to John Lewis who luckily had a replacement in stock. I eventually heard back from Ascot Wholesale by email on 28th December offering to send another glass or refund. I accepted the refund but then discovered this was actually less than a 6th of the price paid ! i.e. They sent me £3.54 instead of £4.50!!!! The price I paid at John Lewis was £5.50 - that would have been a reasonable gesture - no consideration for the inconvenience and cost of driving an hours round trip to save an embarrassment! Why not wrap the contents properly in the first place!?

"Fed up of chasing the order"

I placed an order via their website. After waiting a week and a half with nothing turning up I was told they were waiting on one of the items to arrive before it would all be sent together. A few days later on part of the order arrived. After another 3 weeks of chasing the remaining items, despite the repeated calls, conflicting information and promises they were looking into it and would call back (but not), I have now given up. I don't expect to receive the remaining items and certainly won't be using them again.
