"Scam company"
If I could give no stars, I would. Product shattered after a few months usage. Email customer service was hilariously bad and will not refund under any circumstances - which is against the law. They actually said my carpet protector was the wrong one for carpet and I should have bought one for a hard floor! I then was outside the chargeback window on my credit card so couldn't claim the money back there either! If you want money back, get it through your credit card. They delete bad reviews off their website as well. Please report them to trading standards like I did.

For all those that have been ripped off by this terrible company.
They will attempt to wear you down:
- They will not respond
- They will offer a small discount
- They will try to make you return to Germany
When you raise a dispute with a middleman:
- They will respond and delay at every opportunity
- They will allow a return to the UK but it is to a non-existing address
However, after over 3 months of constant effort we did manage to win the dispute and get our money returned.
We have been told the company has been flagged and are under investigation.

"I purchased a 'heavy duty' carpet mat…"
I purchased a 'heavy duty' carpet mat to go underneath a desk chair for £35.
The item cracked after less than 2 months.
Contacted Floor Mats UK, who told me I needed to ship the item to Germany before any compensation could be delivered.... The cost for me to post it to Germany EXCEEDS THE PRICE OF THE ITEM!
Cowboy company with terrible customer service and cheap products not fit for purpose.
Avoid at all costs.

"Shoddy product and terrible customer service - avoid this company"
I paid £113 to have a polycarbonate mat made to my exact size specification. After six weeks it cracked and large chunks came out leaving very sharp edges. It's completely unusable. I rang customer services and was asked to send it back at my expense. It is enormous and would have cost a fortune. Plus I didn't have the packing any longer. I explained this in my email (you can only contact them online) and sent photographs and ...... silence. Terrible product, terrible customer service.

Wish I had read these reviews before I purchased from them.
Same as all the others, brought the product, after a few weeks it had cracked, very sharp in places and I am informed I must return it to Germany for inspect. I am surprised they do not have offices in the UK given their name is "Floor Mats UK"
Very disappointing.

"Never ever buy a floor mat from this…"
Never ever buy a floor mat from this company. I bought a polycarbonate mat specifically for putting on carpet for a desk chair. After a few weeks it cracked and continued to crack daily. I contacted the company who wanted me to return it to Germany at my expense. The mat costs £51. No customer service at all and the goods are not fit for purpose and yet there is no recourse from this company. You have been warned. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!

DO NOT use this company. I have had the worst experience ever purchasing a polycarbonate chair mat. They do not respond to phone calls full stop. After numerous emails and attaching photos of proof that they supplied a product the wrong size and not fit for purpose, as it contained large ripples and curled up edges. They told me to get a hair dryer out to it. I can only think that the good reviews are fake. I had to return their defective mat to Germany at my expense and after more emails they replied with an excuse that I had misused it. It was too dangerous to use! My credit card company reimbursed the purchase cost to me. Floor Mats UK aftersales and terms and conditions are non existant. You have been warned!

As I write this I’m still on hold to the customer services number having been trying to reach them now for 2 months. I have read the others reviews and my experience is exactly the same. Floor mat purchased 18th June, 6 weeks later cracks appeared, when I lifted the mat to move it to another room it shattered. The quality is very poor and having read the other reviews I think it highly unlikely that I will get a resolution. Shocking quality and shocking service to match, strongly advise you to avoid, see other reviews, you have been warned!

"Substandard product, company won't follow own terms of sale."
I don't know what went wrong with this company; we've bought product from them before and it lasted at least a couple of years under moderate to heavy use.
This time around, the mat cracked up within 6-8 weeks. Like other recent reviewers, got told to ship back to Germany apparently at my own expense — in violation of their own terms of service, I might add.
Their Terms also require a return reference number, which they won't give you so you can't actually return the product in a way that they would be able to track.
My second attempt to get them to make good just resulted in a resend of their first reply. So I invoked their own terms and gave notice of charge-back unless they resolved the matter within 7 working days.
No response. Apparently they don't even know their own rules. Credit card company had no problem with issuing a charge-back on the spot.
Look elsewhere for a carpet protector.
