"Do not trust. All they want is your deposit"

This is the worst company I have every dealt with. First off we were moving from Ga. to Wa. and our first quote was for 2947.00 from Dane Collins and then updated another 1400.00 from Thomas when we informed him that we were using Lowes extra large boxes. I guess the first price was using median boxes. so now are total was 4347.00. We were still ok and sent the 1000.00 deposit which all went to them. Upon arrival of the moving truck today we had to pay the driver 1400.00 and then the reminder when they arrive. well the moving truck arrived and loaded halh the load and told us they had reached there limit per there contract. however only half of our property was loaded. they needed an extra 2250.00 to complete the load. I call American movers and talked to a lady who read me all the discloses and that they were a professional company. I talked to Thomas able the first increase and was very specific about the items that were being moved and the size of all that. with the increase that was covering everything in our sighed contract. The movers were very nice and great and to them its was all about the space they stated it happens to them all the time. Am Movers Quoted a low price in order to get there 1000.00 booking fee and will not stand behind there contract to anyone. they put the rest on what ever mover they find to deal with. I was quoted 400 sq ft and they have programs that can tell them how much space is need to fill the order requested to them. to be off by over half tells me that all they wanted was my money. now the move that started at 2947 is now over 7000.00. I am Filling a complaint with the BBB. Dane and Thomas are NOT HONEST.

If there’s a negative zero I will give them that. They are pure scammers, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Our $689 deposit went down the drain. Our furnitures was not picked up because the movers that they contracted wanted additional charge. Even the movers complained about this company as they sent the order the night of the pick up date. Tried communicating with them and the customer service was so rude. She was not even sorry for what happened. Directly informed me that the deposit will not be refunded. Did not even give any resolution to the problem. Tried to explained what had happened that I refused to pay the additional payment from the movers. This company was not clear on explaining that they charge per cubic feet and not by lbs. so be very careful with that as I was originally charge for 315 cubic feet and that is not even enough for the couch. When I was putting the order for the move (named John) He was so nice and accommodating, asked me if how many lbs are the Furnitures and estimate and to give the inventories. And now I can’t even get hold of him. On the day of the move I was told that I was allowed to only have 315 cubic feet by the movers. The movers even mentioned that that’s how they get money from their customers that this company are not honest and not disclosing any information. This company needs to shut down. I really hope that they can close this company as they just keep on fooling people to get money.

Don't even think about using these people no matter what the quote. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. They are incompetent at best and perhaps fraudulent. Took my deposit and then were completely uncommunicative. Mutiple emails and phone calls to account manager I booked with and confirmation person ignored. Finally reached someone at the office in Florida (after learning their number had been changed from what I had been given) the Friday before my move on Monday or Tuesday. I was told I would be called the day before the move. Did not receive any call on Sunday and now it is Monday and I have a text from the driver that he will be at the facility 9 - 1 today. Problem is, I am in another state (whihc AM&F was aware of) and I cannot reach my agent there who I, of course, told that the move would not be happening until Tuesday. I have now been on hold for 20 minutes with the main office. I called to express my displeasure and to ask what could be done. I think the girl who answers the phone is hoping I hang up.

The salesman John Andrew’s is the biggest con artist full of false promises and lies.
Let me start with half of my stuff arrived broken.
Once they received my money they blocked my number thankfully I had taken pictures of the truck that took my stuff is the only reason why I have my stuff this company is the biggest scam never use them!
My stuff wasn’t delivered on time as promised I had to chase this company to find my belongings and now it’s mostly broken after paying thousands and thousands of dollars to get my things.
Don’t bother with these people use U-Haul rent your own truck and hire people to move your things while you’re there onto the U-Haul and drive it yourself

"BUYER BEWARE"

BUYER BEWARE! The absolute worst! They will be in court very soon for their illegal predatory practices. They gave a quote and sent a company that showed up hours late and tried to charge double what the quoted price was originally. From $6,500 to $14,000. They required a $2,600 deposit and refuse to return it, even though I did not use their services. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM! When I tried to call them they put me on hold forever and never returned the phone.

"AVOID!! Stolen deposit $$$ with no customer service to speak of"

AVOID!!! Horrible experience, feel like my deposit has been stolen as I have been told for the past 2.5 months that I would be refunded my deposit as I cancelled within the cancellation window, however each time I call I am told "Do not worry, you are in line for a refund but we just haven't got to you yet."

Worst experience ever. Already a stressful time to be moving then to be actually dealing with a broker and not the moving company was a nightmare. Beware. Are the dates are estimates. Lots of added fees after they come to pick up stuff when your in a situation where you have to pay it

"Extremely Disappointed"

My initial contact with AMF was positive, but after paying the so called $1000+ deposit service plummeted. As a broker they contract with a third party moving company for the actual moving service. We trusted that AMF would use a reputable and reliable company. My move was scheduled for 9/30/22 and was rescheduled twice. On 10/2/22 the movers never showed up. On initial contact with AMF I was told the office was closed because it was a weekend. After persistent calling I was told they could again reschedule the move to the next day. I had been told that there may be a “two day pick up window” and I accepted that but the window had gone to three days and they were expecting me to go to a fourth day. I could not wait another day due to commitments and had to make alternate moving arrangements at additional cost. I have requested a refund of my deposit from AMF to no avail. Beware when dealing with this company. Once they receive their money they fo not stand behind their service or that of their associates.

"Fraudulent Business Practices"

I paid for American Moving and Freight LLC on Sept 8, 2022 to move me on Oct 1, 2022. Florida Secretary of State deemed the company inactive on Sept 23,2022 and they were to cease conducting business until corporation was released to do so. They appear to be using 2 different company, American Moving and Freight LLC (Frederick Knott) and American Moving & Freight LLC, (Demetrious Arvanites who is the contact on this site) interactively under a DOT license for American Moving and Freight LLC and writing contracts using both companies interactively. When I brought this to their attention on the day of my move, they refused to address they were fraudulently conducting business with my insurance company refusing to insure my move as a result of the business being inactive. I was forced on Oct 1 to get a Uhaul and move myself from Arizona to Texas. My contract like others they show on this site, is void and not enforceable with ACH payments taken against a contract designed to misrepresent the business and fraudulently mislead consumers. In their other responses, American Moving and Freight LLC falsely stated they transported my items when in fact they did not. When contacted by a truck driver who stated he was coming to my pickup location after I had already packed and left, I sent him the Florida Secretary of State invalid corporation documentation. I have requested my deposit back as this was fraud. They refused. I have filed will with the State of Florida Agriculture and Consumers Division (9 complaints with FMCA in last 3 months), State of Arizona AG and Corporate Commission, DOT, FDACS, Better Business Bureau, etc.
