"Buyer BEWARE broker at AMF not reputable"

I was contacted by the broker at AMF. They sent a contract we agreed on a price. I was approached by a other representative to buy more space and declined. I then state please just ship what fits in the budget and sq footage requested. Simple right?
Their contract states you won't be charge for some moving supplies. However, when the movers show up they want you to sign a new contract stating you will pay for what AMF said was included. Classic bait and switch.

At this point you are over a barrel because moving is a scheduled activity lots of things must fall into place. The mover told me I pay the extra $1500 now or they hold my stuff until i pay. Neither was acceptable buyer beware not a reputable company.

If I could give them NO STARS I WOULD FIRST I PLANNED THE MOVE FOR APRIL 1ST THEY DIDNT BOTHER TO CALL OR SHOW UP THEN WHEN THEY FINALLY SHOWED UP ON THE 2ND THEY ONLY MOVE A QUEEN SIZE BED 2 TV'S AND 6 LIGHT WEIGHT BOXES A LOVE SEAT AND A RECLINER FOR 1700.00 NOT EVEN HALF OF MY FURNITURE

John was very understanding and worked with me on making things happen until the very last minute. His estimate was pretty accurate, even if he didn't believe he would get as much done in three days as we did. But we work hard and expect the same of others. We were not disappointed. The moving team worked hard and was very professional yet kind and understanding. Their prices were also competitive, as I checked other companies to ensure that I was getting a fair deal. I highly recommend American Moving and would for sure use them again.

""As requested my reference number is (J8462419) pick up was Fayetteville Arkansas drop off Portland Oregon.""They took my $1,200 deposit they called 4 days ago demanding 2,000 more dollars then the original quoted contract and signed agreement which I do have a copy of they then two days ago asked where to meet me I told them and I have called 12 times in the last two days they have my brother's ashes they have everything of my children my kids are 11, 2,&9 months nobody will return my call or messages they have stolen everything me and my children own we are 3,000 miles away from home we don't even so much as have a bed not one unless you like giving your money away and your stuff too cuz they will keep it I have messages and proof of the allegations I'm alleging and would be more than happy to provide it for anybody I beg of you do not use this company this is a 100% scam they picked my stuff up on March 15th the delivery guys seemed okay but they're also ignoring me too do not give this company your money and your familys stuff and before you say it I could not take his ashes on an airplane they would not allow it I am completely heartbroken displaced and really all together just screwed

"Horrible"

Horrible. Just horrible. Don’t use this company!! Please trust me! Not only didn’t I receive all my items (things my grandparents gave me and can’t be replaced), pretty much every box was crushed and countless things broken. Oh don’t mention the fact that they tripled my quote day of. Don’t forget you can’t get any information on where your stuff is. Let alone get ahold of anyone. Email, phone calls, texts…..took me about a month to receive MOST of my stuff. Just don’t do it. Horrible horrible experience.

"We have been trying to cancel our move…"

We have been trying to cancel our move (with a cancellation date of April 30, 2022). Its now March 21st and we have been trying to cancel for 4 weeks. They have $1800 of our money and I wanted to know where our refund was. As a woman, I was talked down to and was told that obviously I have a hard time listening and hearing. "Status Update on American Moving and Freight - Feb 2022 Move"

Good news & bad news. Good news, American Moving and Freight returned my phone call and confirmed my PA furniture delivery date to be either Mar 15th or 16th at the latest. Bad news, Arena Van Lines did not deliver. I called them today, Arena Van Lines stated my furniture was loaded on their truck but the truck was being repaired and they were unsure when the truck would be fixed, but it was on the way. New delivery date is either Mar 17th or 18th. Arena Van Lines also stated, they technically had 30 business days to deliver, but they try to deliver as quickly as they can. You be the judge as to whether you would want to do out of state business with either of these companies. I have endeavored to provide as accurate an account of the experience as possible.

Couldn't have asked for a better service. The men were polite and efficient at both ends of the trip, even in the horrendous weather. I highly recommend them. Thanks for the brilliant service. Will use it again.
