"Regrettable Experience"

I have done business with movers for over 10 years and I must say this is by far the worst moving company I have ever dealt with. Their mishandling resulted in scratches and scrapes and breaks on most of our furniture despite paying for furniture protectors. They broke glass pieces belonging to my China despite the bubble wrap. The paintings and the furniture were so damaged that it seems as if it was done deliberately. They also scratched my wooden floors in multiple rooms. Even my small appliances that were brand new in boxes were damaged, and you can see that the trauma was done as even the box had a dent consistent with where the damage was done on the appliances. Furthermore, the contract was breached as it stated that one flight of stairs was covered but they refused to move furniture and other items upstairs. We even had items missing after they left. Of note they left the premises without notice and without saying goodbye. They left items in front of the door when they left that were supposed to be brought inside. We are still picking up the pieces from the damage incurred to our furniture and other household items. In summary most of my items were damaged or broken and they refused to issue even a partial refund after reporting them to agencies. Please save yourself upwards of $10,000 as it would be better if you hire local movers, rent your own truck, and drive the truck yourself. Aside from even the price, another option would be to use that savings to furnish your new home with new or gently used furniture. At least this would save you the heartache, aggravation, and disappointment of having to encounter movers who have no regard for their work, or other's belongings.

"Thieves & Non-trustworthy"

I signed with this company and had to pay half up front … the day I signed. On the day they were to pick up my furniture, they never showed and never called! I waited until 8pm. I had to find another company and pay to rent my house back! This occurred in July. I’ve called them almost every day and still have not received my refund.

They give me a different story every time I call. Today was the promised day it was to be deposited in my account according to Rick, the supervisor. As expected, it did not arrive. So I called today and held 10 min listening the same song over and over again and they gave me some story about it being deposited Monday. I’m sure on Monday, they will blame the hurricane! Worst company ever! They expect their money up front yet when they screw up, they hold my money hostage!

My update on this horrible company !! So I left a bad but true review and a guy finally called me ( after a few weeks) and had me convey my experience…I told him everything this despicable company did so he said they wanted to make it right …so he supposedly talked to a supervisor (?) and I waited 1/2 hour on the phone hoping beyond all hope that I would get some money back ( I spent over $3000)…..after the “consultation “ with a supervisor he offered me $50!!!!!! What a joke !! So after going back and forth to try and get better compensated he said that was all he was permitted to offer…ALSO I HAD TO SIGN A FORM AND TAKE DOWN MY REVIEW…I figured what the heck $50 is $50 ….he kept me on hold for an hour ( I know I was stupid) to get my email so he could send the disclaimer and I finally hung up …he never called back …ugh I feel sorry for anyone who uses these scammers

"100 percent scammers"

100 percent scammers. They lie and say they are movers and yet they are broker. The money they claim is a deposit is actually a fee as they give your information to another company. You cant cancel because the phone line is full. They are thieves and need to be shut down.

"Scammers period"

Scammers period. Take deposit upfront & Ghost you. They are not a moving company but a fake broker. All positive reviews here & Google are fake paid for by these criminials. Think about all 5's????? All real reviews are 1's. Don't use this company report them to the authorities in Florida. You will lose your money.

"Out of state moved taking over 8 weeks"

I contracted through American Moving and Freight for my move at ~1500 miles for around $4000. They sub-contracted the move through ES Van lines. I was told by a sales rep that it should be 7-14 business days from my first available date and at most 21 business days. I has now been 40 business days without furniture and despite near constant calls to ES Van lines, I have not been given any ETA or any reimbursement despite furniture being picked up 9 weeks ago. AMF says that this is all up to ES Van lines and that they can’t help me.

In addition, my initial quote was said to include moving blankets, but ES Van lines charged me an extra $400 for those. AMF said that I could not dispute the charges because I signed and paid cash. This part is more of my fault, but something for others to watch out for and read their contract carefully.

If you want a realistic move timeline, do NOT contract with AMF or ES Van lines. I’ll add an update if my stuff ever arrives…

"BUYER BEWARE IT'S A SCAM"

BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The good reviews are from people affiliated with the company. Not actually clients.
They were professional in the consult and once I was locked in with a non refundable deposit (of well over a thousand dollars) already paid it went downhill from there.

Unprofessional rude customer service after 2-6 hour wait times to get someone on the phone. They tried to con me out of additional $300 to change my pick up date within my allotted time frame. When I complained too the owner vis email, (and wrote a bad review online) I was contacted the next day buy a guy named Rick Fox who offered me "Hush money" to remove my review. He said it was costing them business during their busiest season and they were a new company trying to stay afloat and he cared about his employees and them not being able to support their families if business suffered from bad reviews. I denied the hush money and in good faith gave them another chance. They screwed me even worst. I asked if they could find a different moving company. After seeing the horrible reviews of "one of their best contracted companies". They denied it. Said they've heard no complaints.

The pick up was three days after the three day window. And It's now been 2 months and my items STILL HAVEN'T ARRIVED.

I received an email a month ago saying my things would be there by that weekend. A call from the driver saying he'd be there in 24 hours with my delivery. The next morning i got a call saying he had someone else's delivery loaded by mistake not mine. It's been another month of me calling both the companies American Freight Movers & Prosperity Moving, and getting no answers. Only that they can't gaurantee pick up or deliveries dates.

I was told the different stores prior to this. One was the wrong things was loaded, second was the moving trucks broke down and have to be fixed, third was half of my things were left in California and the other half is in Texas due to a mix up with. Still no furniture and no REAL TRUE answers.

I'm out of thousands of dollars and these people have lost my things. They won't even assist with filling a claim for my list items. I have a consult with an attorney next Monday to see what my next steps are.

If you don't want the headache, loss of money along with your precious belongings do not trust this company. It's a Con from heartless SCAMMERS!!!

"A total scam"

A total scam. Quoted me a price then on moving day tripled the amount. It was so stressful.

This is a total scam. Lied and tild me they werent brokers And three gangsters showed up at my house at 11 o’clock at night to move and told me the price was three times what they quoted me. I had to cancel the payment with my bank which I advise you to do if you got suckered by these people because they are total crooks.
