"DO NOT AND I MEAN DO NOT USE THIS…"

DO NOT AND I MEAN DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME AND SANITY. DO NOT. STAY SOOOOOOOO FAR AWAY. I am absolutely more than dissatisfied with this company. The reviews that say they are liars are absolutely 100% accurate. LISTEN. TO. THEM. and stay FAR. AWAY. from this company. I called needing information on how to cancel my contact as we are moving. I wasn’t dissatisfied or anything. It was the basic fact that we were moving and couldn’t leave holes in the wall in order to transfer. I was expecting to pay out my contact anyways and was nothing but nice on the phone. The individual I spoke with first told me she couldn’t tell me the pay out/penalty fees for ending early and that she would have someone call me the next day. I didn’t want to wait for a call so I called again. I spoke with an individual who APOLOGIZED to me for receiving misinformation, and that because I had passed the 18 month timeframe, and NOW OWNED the system, that there would be NO PENALTY AND I WOULDNT HAVE TO BUY OUT MY CONTRACT. THEY HAVE THIS IN RECORDING. So I was like GREAT! That’s amazing. She told me she would have the cancellation team call me to finalize everything. LIES. The “cancelation” team was the retention team. Of course. He then told me that I was told misinformation by the employee I previously spoke to and that I would indeed need to pay off my contract. I wasn’t upset until this point because he was extremely rude. I then asked to speak to someone higher up. Of course he tells me no one higher up talks on the phone. I then tell him to have them email me. He again tells me that it won’t matter and they won’t honor it. I tell him that I don’t care and to do it anyways. He then tells me they should email me by tonight. To no surprise of mine, no one emailed me. I called the lovely gentleman back. He was immediately rude and defensive. Telling me he spoke to them but refused to give me proof and that there was nothing he could do. I understand contracts. I know how they work. Which is why I was prepared to pay off. What I don’t understand is why a company can’t back the mistake of THEIR employee. And why would THEIR employee tell me that information?? It’s soo SHADY. now I’m in the process of cancelling and trying to pay off my contract but I CANT because in the contract it states that it needs to be within 10 days of when you send the cancellation letter. Ironic enough you need the final bill to cancel and the final bill takes 4-6 WEEEKKSSSS to get to me. So I OBVIOUSLY CANT honor the 10 day contract rule!! WHAT A JOKE!!! I have gotten nothing but a run around and they make it impossible to cancel. NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN! I had NO problems with the company until I wanted to cancel. Just know that if you sign with fluent you will take the contract to your grave!! AN ABSOLUTE JOKE.

"Such a dishonest company"

Such a dishonest company. They ignored my no soliciting sign which I decided to not be upset with because I was looking to change companies anyways. The technician arrived 1 hour past the time he was supposed to come which was already late in the day, around 9pm. I asked if he could reschedule but he was leaving the state the next day. The whole process was very rushed. The technician did not check my door sensors (which turns out the type I had are not carried by this company so now that i am having reports of low battery, the company can not change it but instead has to charge me for new door sensors.). In addition they are changing me for a technician to come out (all of this could have been avoided if the technician would have checked in the first place.) I also just looked back at the information they had given me which intrigued me about the company because the salesperson said he would personally follow-up the following week to see how the system is going, which he did not, also the pamphlet says that they check up 1 month, 6 months, and 1 year after initial setup which they haven't. It is printed in the pamphlet that they do this and that do not so it is misleading and false information. The consultant I spoke to today though was fantastic and very kind but her hands were tied on how to help me as she didn't have the authority to waive fees. I cannot wait to cancel this company!!!!!!

"This Company Is As Useless As Our Trudeau Government!!!"

If I could give a zero star rating I would! Worst customer service ever! After speaking to customer retention today it solidified my decision to pay out the remainder of this bogus contract, it will be worth it. Cameras only work some of the time and when you call and wait on hold forever they then expect you to climb up the side of your house to adjust to fix the problem! The guy in customer retention was a total arrogant jerk! Avoid this company at all costs!

"Sneaky"

The security system works effectively. HOWEVER beware of there contracts. You are locked in. My contract was for 5 years. It ended I was told I could cancel at anytime. I attempted to cancel via phone wasted 2 hours on the phone on 2 separate occasions. The 3rd time I was told I had to give written notice. I did this. THEN they say the cancellation has to go through a. Review process that takes 30 days so I will be billed again. They are sneaky. Don’t sign any contracts with them. Terrible customer service.

"Cancellation nearly impossible"

Cancellation of policy after our commitment was finished was a nightmare. Phone service was terrible. Spent days trying to reach the right person, was told wrong things. Told that it was canceled several times only to find out after the next bill was charged that there was something more to do. E-mail communication was terrible. We ended up being charged for several extra months when we weren’t using the service, because of the circus of trying to cancel.

"This is one of the worst companies we…"

This is one of the worst companies we ever had to deal with. DO NOT USE THEM! They damaged our system during an upgrade, and could not even fix it. We then, of course, wanted to cancel their alarm monitoring. THEY REFUSED, even though the system is inoperable! So we are paying for a service that does not even work! Then it is impossible to get in touch with them to cancel their service. We can only go to VISA to get our automatic payments cancelled. This company has the WORST SERVICE and is totally crooked. All they care about is collecting monthly fees and making it impossible to cancel them.

"Horrible customer service for a long time customer"

I have been a customer with them since 2012. I moved and was planning on moving my service. Mind you my home was under construction for over a year and they continued to take out my payment. I finally started calling several months ago to reinstate and they wanted to charge me to hook up again. I was on the phone several times with no return phone calls and horrible customer service. I was finally fed up and sent them a fax to cancel my service July 16th. They apparently need 30 days to review a one paragraph cancellation notice and took money out again in August and won't refund me after paying them every month for 9 years. I wouldn't get into bed with a company that has zero customer service skills.

"I wish I could give a zero to this…"

I wish I could give a zero to this company..I pay approximately $75 per month. My doorbell camera has not worked in over a year -tried to connect with them but was told given Covid they couldn’t send anyone out, still charged me for the service. Every attempt I’ve made to get ahold of them has been fruitless..often speaking to someone with children running around in the background. My alarm went off at 2AM .. got a call in response at 8:30 AM. Today I am at my wits end. My alarm has been beeping for 50 min. I have placed 4 calls to them..first one after waiting 10min..rang and rang, second one, I was disconnected..third one once again connected -rang and rang. I have left my call back nbr twice and it now has been 1hr 15 min waiting for a call back regarding my alarm beeping. I spoke to someone 1week ago about a service call..have received 2 voice mails to book and when I call the nbr back I get a can not connect message ..WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE??

"FLUENT is as shady as they can get"

FLUENT is as shady as they can get. DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THEM WHATSOEVER; they are very deceiving and manipulative.
My Mom had a home security system in place. She wanted to switch to Fluent; they sent a technician out, and he told my Mom the equipment already in use IS compatible with their system. (Took advantage of an 86 year old lady).
This was supposed to be a free installation; there was no charge in switching over and using their approved materials.

A year and a half later, my Mom had to switch out batteries. All hell broke loose. The second repairman said he could not fix it because it was not one of their products, not insured under them. The system would not work correctly, problem after problem, it takes 1 to 2 hours to get anyone on the phone. Finally, my Mom talked with Natasha from headquarters in Lehi, Utah. This woman was the most disrespectful, power-hungry representative. She does not give a dang about the customers nor sought a resolution with respect and sympathy. She even had the gall to put a note on my Mom's account that no one else would service her without talking with her first. She would not let my Mom talk to anyone else. "You can't go to anyone else but me." So, this woman was out for revenge; my Mom called her out and made sure she was targeted and could not speak to anyone else (she heard a rep talking about the note).
Natasha told my Mom the technician knows nothing and is basically a robot, and they shouldn't say anything. This is an admittance of their responsibility for the lack of correct information given to my Mom. My Mom asked, "why did he not tell me it was not compatible," Natasha reply, "He doesn't have to tell you anything about that; he is just there doing his job. My question is where the money goes from in my Mom's free security system installment of their materials; they did not install but deceived her into thinking her old system material was compatible. hummmmmm

Natasha doesn't follow the rules, but she expected my Mom too. OH, the best response from another rep, Eric "The rules are they to rip out the old materials and replace with their equipment" and "We will give you the parts but you have to pay the technician." FOR WHAT, a job they should have done correctly, to begin with, own up to their little deceiving dishonest claim. Please take my word for this, RUN!!

"Impossible to cancel"

Been trying since February to help my 81 year old brother cancel his 5 year old contract. He has NEVER even hooked the system up! His contract does not provide contact information for where to send the letter. Phone calls are not returned, nor do they allow us to cancel. He is cognitively impaired and we have power of attorney, but this company does not care! So now I am bombarding social media. DON"T BUY THEIR SYSTEM!
