"J'ai loué un vehicule en nov 2019 à…"

J'ai loué un vehicule en nov 2019 à l'ile de la Réunion. Au moment de retirer la voiture, le loueur sur place (tropicar) m'informe que vehicle-rent ne leur avait pas virer le montant de la location. J'ai été obligé de reverser le même montant pour emprunter l'auto. J'ai aussitôt envoyer un mail à vehicle-rent pour avoir des explications. Au bout de plusieurs échanges, ils m'ont informé que le montant dû serait viré via leur service de comptabilité. Aujourd'hui, 16 janvier 2021, je n'ai rien reçu. J'ai essayé de les joindre par mail pour les relancer, l'adresse est inconnue.

"Oszuści"

Oszuści. Zmienili rezerwację ostatniego dnia. Nie dość że przepadła zaliczka to byłem zmuszony zapłacić o wiele więcej za nową rezerwację. Zostało powiedziane że zwrócą zaliczkę oraz różnicę kosztów. Było to ponad rok temu i cisza... Zero kontaktu nie odpisują na emaile. Nie polecam nikomu

SIXT PT (Portugal) Fraudulent Damage Charges
DO NOT RENT even a lawn mower from SIXT PT. They charged me for a previous slow tyre leak which I reported to them out of honesty so the next customer wouldn’t have the issue. FARO airport office assured me verbally that I wouldn’t be charged but then charged me after I left And then retracted what they said! Their attitude is to extort money from you and the customer is always wrong. Customer services is a waste of time they can’t resolve anything.

"Budget / Avis (Port Charlotte)"

If I could put a negative number I would.
I did a mini lease through this Avis and Budget. and they were horrible. they failed to tell us about additional charges. As well as taking money out of my account that they can not tell me where it went. then I returned the vehicle early and they charged me extra on top of not giving me my refund nor can they call me back! Also, I was being called over and over while I was away on orders even though I have given verbal consent to speak with the other person on the account.
They do not work well with military members, especially if there are problems. And just like huge companies once they get their money they don't care about you!

Worse car rental company ever!

If you want to lose over a grand go here, if you want someone better I recommend enterprise!

"Alamo/Enterprise is not your partner in Covid-19 times!"

We rented a car with Alamo at Gardemoen airport to drive to Sweden (Värmland) to visit some relatives. During our stay Norway closed the border with Sweden due to Corona. The border police didn't let us cross the border under any condition to drop-off the car and take our flight back home. In panic we called Alamo to ask what to do in this unreal situation. A nice helpfull employe helped us and gave us the posibility to drop-off the car in Stockholm, as Alamo has onther office there. We were very happy with a solution untill we saw Alamo has deducted NOK 5978.47, from our credit card. They charged a drop-off (which they said they would waive due to this force majeure ) and they even charged us an extra day for leaving the car 4 hours later (as had to drive 5 hours to leave the car in Stockholm) + they charged us for an insurance we didn't ask for. For this reason in this uncertain times don't expect any service from this car rental company if they can make a quick profit out of you they will. The airline we flew with (KLM) was able to change our checked in tickets free of charge from Oslo to Stockholm due to this surreal situation. However Alamos goes for the quick profit.

"Europcar in Pisa Italy is a scam!"

Hi,

I just returned from Pisa last month and wanted to relay a bad experience I had with Europcar. Everything was fine until I returned the car on the 25th of September and the attendant noticed a tiny dent on the side of the slit where the key goes into the passenger side door, not enough to impair the use of the key mind you. In fact the dent was so small he had to point it out with his little finger! In any case I was using the key fob button all week to lock and unlock the door so it was not damage that I caused (who uses the key anymore these days?). Regardless you could say I was responsible, fine. It's just that I got the sense they were 'nit-picking' and trying to find any way possible to charge me extra (and they did, in the end what started off as a €218 rental ended up being a €540 rental!).

Unfortunately my bad experience didn't end there. After being asked to sign 'something' (which turned out to be an admission of fault which was not explained to me in any way before signing), I asked for a final receipt and the attendant told me that was 'not possible' and that one would be emailed to me. Basically it felt like they were hiding the fact that they were going to charge me extra and hoping that I would only find out after I got home. Eventually after asking several times he told me that I could get a copy if I go to the main building. Luckily I still had time before my flight (probably another planned tactic). Only when I went to the main building (and waited in line once again) did I find out what my final bill would be.

When I wrote a complaint to Europcar,... no response. To be honest I've rented with Europcar before and had no problems,... I suspect that it's only the Pisa branch that's pulling these aggressive tactics,...

"This company is a SCAM"

This company is a SCAM, Avoid!
Here is my case;
I have rented car for our Morocco trip, wanted to cancel for halted flights because of corona. UK phone, no one answers, web site does not have any cancel function, mail, no reply. So I have called the local company and cancelled the reservation but the money charged by vehicle-rent.com gone. After checking the local company found out that price was double of my voucher and without of full insurance despite of vehicle-rent.com stated. If I have had arrived to pickup the car that time there would be big surprise for me. I did not follow up with bank to get the money back, as I remember it was too late, could not find old transactions etc. Anyway, stay away from "too good to be true" offers. Check web site functionalities, if there is only email and phone number, run run run! (PS: At the moment their web site is down)

Итак прошло более 11 месяцев со дня страхового случая. Франшизу так и не возвратили. Машину заказывали в Черногории и было подтверждение на возврат 40 евро.

"Avoid Goldcar if you can"

Avoid Goldcar if you can - I rent hire cars all the time and this was the first time i was charged a 150EUR cleaning fee when returned the vehicle with some sand on the mats. a 5 mins job with a hoover would do. Also the hard sell to purchase the additional insurance when collecting the car was not pleasant and they try to intimidate you by showing all the charges you could be charged in case of any damage even if I already had an excess cover in place. When collecting the car, we had to wait over an hour but when returning the car I was quickly told I would be charged an x amount. When I questioned the cleaning fee, I was told they will email me with the amount decision. Apparently the manager was not present so there was nothing they could do. Only after this experience, when googled this company, I realised how bad this company really is and how many bad reviews there are about them. I will be complaining to their head office still and never use them again.

"Economy Car Rentals (Corfu)"

Economy Car Rentals in Corfu (by the airport) has a doubtful way of working. We gave our car back after several days not having had any problem that could damage the car but still they found several bumps, scratches, etc. not visible to the eye (but that they perfectly knew where they were!!!) and charged us a lot of money for that. The “damages” were in 3 different places. What are the chances of somebody damaging your car in 3 different places in less than a week? To me it smells SCAM.
