HP Printer Support Number UK
Mike Leeson
"The Support Service was brilliant."
Ok, so I purchased my Deskjet 2700e 5 months ago, and did have a paper jam and then an error came up a few weeks later saying that there was a problem with the cartridge track - so not brilliant.
However, on both occasions, not being able to sort it via the virtual agent, I called the Support number.
On both occasions the call got picked up in 3 rings, and I was then walked-through how to fix it.
On the first occasion the agent called me back on a Sunday to check the fix had worked.
On the second occasion the agent did all the diagnostics, even linking my phone to a camera so that he could inspect the workings of the printer.
After 10 minutes he established that I needed a new printer and within moments he arranged for it to be delivered, and the old one to be collected.
If I'd gone through a normal retailer, it would have been a nightmare.
So - I'm not rating the printer (I'll see how the new one fares), but in terms of the Service Support - it was amongst the best I've come across.

"TERRIBLE PRINTER OFFICEJET 9010 & SUPPORT"
TERRIBLE PRINTER OFFICEJET 9010, NOWHERE NEAR AS GOOD AS OLD HP. 1ST ONE BROKE WITHIN A WEEK, REPLACEMENT A NIGHTMARE TO SET UP, STILL DOESN'T WORK PROPERLY DESPITE HP PRINTER SUPPORT ATTEMPTING TO SORT IT BUT ONLY SUCCEEDING IN ALTERING ALL MY PC SETTINGS! HP INK WORKS HERE AND THERE BUT MAINLY HAS 'ISSUES' CONNECTING. WHOLE THING IS RUBBISH AVOID IF YOU DON'T LIKE ONGOING AND PERSISTENT STRESS FROM YOUR OFFICE EQUIPMENT.

"A test print - a simple thing?"
A simple requirement: I changed a cartridge on my HP Envy 6000 printer and wanted to check that it still printed OK. I found some HP instructions for doing this [I did put a link in here, but TrustPilot required that it be removed] This page says:
"1. Open HP Smart and select your printer.
2. Click Printer Reports, or click Tools and then click Printer Reports. The list of reports displays."
So I opened "HP Smart" (a misnomer if ever there was one) and there was neither a "Printer Reports" option, nor a "Tools" option. So I tried the Help, which took me to the Virtual Agent. This offered solutions to three problems I don't have, then gave up.
The printer itself is fine, but the utter uselessness of HP support accords exactly with my experiences when I first bought the thing; if it hadn't been for phone support from the shop I bought it from I would never have been able to set it up.
In the end I just found a document with lots of colour on it and printed that, as my test. I should have learned from experience by now that trying to use HP Support is simply a waste of time.

"Absolutely terrible software"
Absolutely terrible software. I am resolved never to buy another HP printer again. The website is not much use either. I won't detail the issues I've experienced as I have spent so much time already installing/uninstalling drivers etc. So can I just ask you not to take my word for it but Google "Why is HP software so bad". You can then spend many hours reading of other peoples frustration. Good Luck if you decide to purchase HP.

"Absolutely awful print reliability & service"
Absolutely awful service. Going round in circles and wasted 12 hours + with various support lines. I figured out a Work Around myself in the end.
My time costs money so asked for ink cartridges in goodwill. They have rang me 5 x for feedback which feels like harassment and still no sign of sorry cartridges. Rubbish printers that are very unreliable on wifi as don’t “speak” on different wifis with various excuses. Don’t bother and use usb cables if you must.

"Awful experience"
Awful experience, felt it was coming to the end of the day so they needed to rush. Didn’t even get a reply from the agent, also sent printer to the wrong address although I had sent over the correct one.

"E-waste"
They send you a printer with no usb-b cable, which is essential for actually using the damn thing. Now the printer doesn't even connect. I have a two hundred pound brick.

"What is the point of leaving phone…"
What is the point of leaving phone number when no one picks it in time. I have called like 50 times but all in vain. How do I reach out the customer service / admin team to report issues with the printer and ink incompatibility?

"Really you have to give a star how…"
Really you have to give a star, how about adding a minus star, in fact, 5 minus stars, as HP would get all -5 stars.
Is the HP office jet 6950 the worlds worst printer?
I have had mine for several weeks now, and still, I cannot get it to work. so the answer to my question above is yes, the very worst.
I have tried technical support, which I feel HP have tried their best to hide away from customers, and their virtual agent drives you mad in the meantime.
Hopefully, if HP read this, they will make contact with me. Preferably, it would be great if they knew I am based here in the UK; even though I put my serial number in, they refer me to someone in America who say they cannot help me.
It would also be very, very useful if the person that makes contact with you from wherever they are based, understands English and does not have a houseful of people in the background, clanging pots and pans, or children running around,
I have bought many HP printers over the past 30+ years and have installed them myself going back to the days when you had to fiddle with dill switches and such, never ever has a printer driven me so mad,
My advice to anyone thinking of buying an HP Officejet 6950, keep your money in your pocket and steer very clear of this Monster.
HP customer support is dysfunctional, and a waste of time, crap product, crap service.
