"Poor customer service experience"
I recently had a frustrating experience with the RingCentral website. After initiating a chat with an agent. I was left feeling utterly disappointed. The agent seemed to lack any empathy or genuine interest in understanding my needs. Instead of helping me arrange a call with the right person to learn more about their product and how it could integrate with our existing sales stack, he rattled off a list of prerequisites to schedule a call for the next level.
Throughout the conversation, The agent repeatedly told me that "We can't help" and "We don't provide" various services, rather than evaluating if he could accommodate my request. This lack of flexibility and understanding was disheartening. As a result, I will be exploring alternative vendors for our needs.

"I have now been three weeks without my…"
I have now been three weeks without my business's primary phone number. The number was ported to RC. It never worked. They could not figure out why and after a week of no phones I ported the number to another company. RC would not let go of the number. They repeatedly lied that no porting request had been made. Worst company ever. . .on this or any other planet. There have many calls and efforts to fix. Each person will politely give a different excuse and/or lie. Awful.

"Poorest customer service ever "
I have been miserable as a ring central client. Their app is fine for calls but after that it’s utterly useless. They make it near impossible to use text messaging, using video is impossible, and their customer service is literally no help whatsoever. You ask them to help your problems and they create 5 new ones. They have never, yes, never fix any problem I have called to fix. I look forward to changing providers.

"I would give 0 if that were an option"
I would give 0 if that were an option. This is an absolutely dreadful company. Do not EVER work with them. When we first signed up, it seemed like a viable low cost alternative to heavy telecom providers, with an app so we could be reached anywhere. When COVID happened in 2020, we had to significantly downsize our business. I told them we didn't need so many lines. I thought they'd be thrilled that I was only trying to downgrade and not cancel. They informed me that I signed a "contract" and that I was only allowed to upgrade the service, not downgrade. After a couple of years, I was apparently able to downgrade to more or less a single line when we closed the in-person business for good and went remote/online. Now I am trying to cancel that and it's virtually impossible. It CANNOT be accomplished online, of course. You must call and speak with someone. Only the cancellation department can handle this type of request. They are undoubtedly going to hard sell me to stay. When I try to call, I can't ever get through. I am calling today, which is a Friday in the middle of the day and the cancellation department is mysteriously closed with no explanation. I was able to reach someone in technical support, after much difficulty, and he couldn't explain why that entire department was closed today for a supposed global telecom company.

"RingCentral customer service is not competent and makes things worse"
Multiple customer service experiences consistently result in RingCentral reps who have limited and often wrong information. The support reps set up our account incorrectly, give wrong and improper advice on how to get text messaging and the answering service working. They really don't know how to use their own system, and thus cannot be helpful. SMS is still not working.
EDIT: Just wanted to add that this weekend I tried to get support online, and the RingCentral web page kept coming back with an error and I was completely unable to submit any support request via the RingCentral website. I find it remarkable how fast RingCentral responds to a negative review here on TrustPilot, but is completely unable to even let me open a trouble ticket.

"Nightmare!!!"
Nightmare! They gave me many promises, they said there will not be any pause or problem with texting while registering.
Now, today is 13th day without text messaging, they port out my 3 numbers without warning, I am getting many problems with my customers because of text messaging !
My responsible agent Maniliyn stopped responding 5 days ago,
This is just ridiculous that they can not do what they promise!

"RingCentral are horrible"
RingCentral are horrible! They are very expensive, horrible service (Takes them forever to reply to emails, they drag you forever until they provide you answers in the chat) and they are now trying to avoid from letting me move the phone number from them to another competitor.

"Zero flexibility, unethical contracts, not willing to be reasonable"
RingCentral is not an ethical company. We missed our cancellation cut-off by a few days. They are attempting to extract nearly $2000 from us to "buy out" our 6 phone lines.
My partners wife (also our CFO) has been hospitalized for the past few months. So of course we missed the cancellation date. RingCentral is providing zero flexibility to us.
If you are considering RingCentral, look elsewhere, or make sure you read the 12 page contract in detail. You may need a lawyer to read it to you, as nothing is spelled out in plain English.
Their product works, most of the time, but overall the value for money is just not there.
I'm mainly unhappy because RingCentral is basically trying to extract $2,000 from us for providing zero value or service. We are not even using their system anymore. Think long and hard before doing business with this company.
