"Best bed ever"

Best flocking bed I’ve ever had. No seriously, this thing is so nice and plush. I sleep better than Princess Di after a visit to Paris. Sooooo good.

"Pricey but worth every penny"

We’ve lived in our house for 13 years and in that period we’ve gone through 3 mattresses. The first sagged terribly in the middle. The second was a pillow top that disintegrated to the point where we could feel the bed coils. The last one was a bed in a box that everyone was raving about but after 6 months left us miserable. It sagged in the middle. It was incredibly hot. My husband had awful shoulder pain with numbness in both arms and I had horrible pressure points in both legs that I felt would cause me to have a blood clot. This scared me so much that it forced me to kick my son out of his bed so I could use it just to get a decent night sleep and peace of mind.

In the past when shopping for a mattress there was always one store we would avoid because we knew it would be pricey. It was Personal Comforts competitor. We were desperate for a good night's sleep that we were willing to pay the high price tag so off when went to get out mattresses. We spent 3 hours in the store until we found the ”one”. I knew this was the mattress for me. It supported me in all the right places. It had the cushioning of a pillow top and it allowed us each to set our comfort level. I was confident we would walk out with a brand new mattress until we saw the price. Yes, I know I said I’d pay anything for a good night's sleep but I’d have to sell a kidney to afford this mattress. I was crushed.

After a day of mourning, my husband and I started researching similar products. We stumbled upon Personal Comforts website which led us to Personal Comforts Youtube channel. Here they did a side by side comparison with the competitors mattresses. We saw the quality of Personal Comforts mattress and was quite disappointed with the quality of it's competitors but also glad we walked away from them. After watching a few more videos particularly the ones comparing their mattress to the one we were going to buy from the competitor, Personal Comfort won us over. Our only hesitation was we couldn't try the A8 before buying it. But wait one second, they have a 120 night free trial period. SOLD!

We’ve now had our A8 split head king mattress for 90 days at half the price of the competitors and it has been the best 90 nights sleep we both have had in a long time. No more shoulder pain, arm numbness or pressure points on my legs. No more worrying if I'll get a blood clot. On weekends we have to set an alarm because after the first couple of weeks we found ourselves sleeping till 10 or 11 o’clock in the morning. Now our kids want a Personal Comfort mattress.

This is a 5-star product but I do have some caveats. If your bedroom is upstairs these boxes are quite heavy.(I’d guesstimate about 100 lbs each.)Thank goodness we have a hand truck which made the job much easier. The instructions that came in the box and YouTube video need to be revised. Though we managed to set the bed up it left us scratching our heads at one point because some of the components looked different from the instructions. What happened was some of the components were already assembled we just needed to disassemble them than put them back together on the bed. (my guess is that it makes for easier shipping) The zippers are very rugged looking and we appreciate how hardy they looked and felt but getting them to zip around corners especially if you have a split head king bed is rather difficult. It took 2 of us pulling and pushing to get this thing zipped up but again it was worth it. The last thing was the compressor for the air mattress. We had to return one of them because one of the mattresses was not holding the air. Personal Comfort has wonderful customer care. With one phone call we had a new compressor sent us free of charge. Though this is minor I feel it should have worked right out of the box.

So if you're on the fence between this mattress or the competitors(or any other mattress for that matter) this is the one I would recommend. It’s still a pricey investment but it.

It was delivered ok. I am unable to say more at this time. The bed room furniture will be delivery the middle of January if it isn’t delayed once again. Then I can set up the bed and see what I think of it.

We love our new bed! Being able to set our individual comfort levels has made sleeping so much more restful, the morning aches and pains are gone! Setting it up was easy and the quality is flawless. The fact that it cost $2k less than the competitor's is just an added perk ;)
