"Better Than Our Old Comfortaire..."

For the past 18 years we have slept on a King size Comfortaire mattress on a basic double twin box spring on a metal frame.
Due to it leaking air in one of the air chambers we tried to find a dealer and could not but found Personal Comfort instead online. (Found out later that Comfortaire has been swallowed up by the Sleep Number Beds.)
Personal Comfort beds were like Comfortaire only better so I decided to go with a Queen A7 as they were on sale. Also since we needed a foundation I decided to go with one of theirs that they recommended.
Got the foundation first but even though the instruction sheet showed it arriving with feet, metal foot brackets and bolts, I did not get any.
It was never mentioned that we had to have a metal frame or something else to put the foundation up on. I ended up getting lucky and our existing King frame could be reduced to a queen and the foundation fit right on it.
Second problem was NOT Personal Comfort's fault but with the shipping company (Fed Ex Ground). They did not get the mattress here on the day they said it was coming. All day long I stayed home to wait on Fed Ex to show up and all day long I kept checking the tracking and it said it was to come on that day. I had already packed up my old king size and gotten the person who wanted it to come and get it, set up my new foundation only to end up with no mattress.
Went out to Walmart and got a queen airbed and slept lousy for the night. It did end up coming the next day but I had already spent $60 on a now useless airbed which could not be returned.
Other than the foundation (no feet) and the shipping issue I am very happy with the bed.
Had no problems setting up the foundation, which was super easy, and the mattress which was quite comparable with my old bed.
Few differences though in 18 years of new technology. The pump is quieter when it runs, the memory foam is much nicer and had an extra layer of a second foam. Love the two covers, the middle cover which zips on and the top layer which was a bit thicker than my old bed.
The side rails are MUCH stronger inside the mattress and makes the edges much stronger to sit on to put my socks on.
The Bluetooth for the phone to control filling or depleting air in the air chamber is an awesome feature as well.
So over all a five star on the mattress itself, four stars I give it because of the foundation not having feet and not letting customers know they need to have a metal frame for the foundation. I have went back over everything and if it was there I missed it somehow. I was not a happy camper on that bit of news.
The shipping was not Personal Comfort's fault but I have found Fed Ex Ground is a bear to deal with a lot of times as I run a business and have had issues with deliveries before.
You all need to use UPS.

UPDATE: Got a call about my review and because of the little issues of which one was not their fault, Personal Comfort is sending me a gift card to pay me back for the air mattress I had to buy. Wow! Now that is good customer service. Thanks and I am very happy with the mattress itself. Upping you all to a five star now!

"Personal Comfort truly makes sure your comfortable...."

I don't know what all bed companies do but I doubt they go to the lengths that Personal Comfort goes to make sure you comfortable in the bed you got. The day I decided to buy the A6 I had a sales person give me call to answer any questions I had and also give me some tips on how to find my zone on the number bed. I thought that was a nice touch and didn't expect anything more.

A week or two later I received an email asking how everything was and I let them know I had been having some problems sleeping still and had some shoulder pain from sleeping on my side. They talked me through some options which helped and they called me every few days to check in, although I rarely answered because I'm on the go so often. We kept in contact by email throughout the whole process which was comforting knowing that they didn't just let me fall through the cracks and made sure I was taken care of. All I ended up needing was another layer of Visco foam to relieve some pressure since I'm a heavier guy at 230 lbs.

I'm now a couple months in and I am very pleased, not only with the bed but the service that Personal Comfort offers. Highly recommend.

"This is exactly like my old Denver air…..."

This is exactly like my old Denver air mattress. After 25 years I bought the personal comfort C-5 and couldn't be happier. Love the air pressure settings started at 33 and went down to 27. Excellent sleep, just like laying on a cloud.

"I never leave these because I'm not…..."

I never leave these because I'm not sure if they're legit but I had to let the PC community know that this has been a mobility saver. For me, my issue was wanting a comforfable mattress AND wanting SUPPORT that kept me relatively cool at night. I'd constantly wake up with serious back pains to the point where I ended up getting a Cortazone shot and contemplated surgery bc I have a slight herniated disc. After a few days of testing, I found my number (34) and no longer wake up with debilitating back pain. I finally have great alignment and it's been years since I've been able to sleep on either my back OR my sides. Now I only wake up with slight stiffness which is 100% due to me closing in on 40 :). I definitely recommend this mattress. Happy Sleeping.

"Warehouse lost our pump..."

Shipped our less than one year old pump back because it stopped working. The warehouse received our pump and told us we had to purchase a new control. The cord frayed and was not covered under the warranty. We purchased the new control and it arrived promptly. Our pump however is now MIA. The warehouse is not responding to their own customer service request for the location of our pump and/or when it will be shipped to us. PLEASE - PLEASE - think twice before you purchase from them. I am very disappointed with them.
