We've had well over a year away from gardening, but feel ready now to start again. Because we are planning to remodel part of the garden I thought it might be worth getting the David Austin Roses Catologue, now it's arrived!! So much information, really helpful, so many ideas for things to do and how to manage your roses!! Worth getting before you choose your roses, lots of advice and ideas.

I was growing up in Siberia and I had a dream to grow roses. Now when I am living in Uk I filled all my gardens with roses from David Austin.
I find the company to be exceptionally good plant are healthy and although 2 roses have died out of 40...the company made immediate refund.
Thank you so much that I can live my dream now and enjoy your roses for months.

"Misleading as it's Absolutely beautiful when you buy it!"
Absolutely beautiful when you buy it!! Massive roses! Expensive and to plant it, you have to spend more money to get the stuff they ask you to use! After planting it as instructed the new roses were small and the rose died in 3 months despite all my efforts to keep it alive!

I would rate this company negative stars the company is ridiculous I was lied to over the phone phone. I had my eye on a rose I called and was given various date I was on the website patiently waiting. I called today and was told the rose I was looking for was listed Saturday which is false because I was on the website every day.

"poor quality of David Austin roses has…"
The quality of David Austin roses has plumeted. I must have bought about 20+ roses over the years pre covid that were always magnificent. I have bought 7 over the past 4 years and they have all been either poor or very poor. I persevered with them as my previous experience with David Austin roses was so good. I was offered replacements back in september but on reflection I want a refund. Only a refund on two, oh well. James in customer service was excellent, he very diplomatically tried to explain why things could have gone awry. He deserves a pay rise.

I ordered a rose and paid for named day delivery. It came early. I phoned D.Austin and had £2 refunded.
I ordered another rose and paid for named day delivery. I did phone them to arrange a different date for named day but did not change from named day option to standard. The rose came early. I phoned D. Austin who insisted I had changed my delivery option. As they say they record calls I asked for a transcript of the call where they say I changed the delivery to standard. This has never been received. I did get a £2 refund but will not use the company again.
Regarding D. Austin's reply I have neither requested nor expected a replacement rose. As stated in my review I did receive a rose but for the second time not on the named date I had booked. There is no more to say and this is now closed,

"Lovely Bare Root Climbers"
Having just received my bare root roses I must say I am thrilled they are here. I needed to speak to Customer Services at David Austin about a further order for Standard Roses, I am sorry but I can’t remember the ladies name but goodness me she was so very helpful. Her knowledge and understanding was wonderful. Thank you so very much for all your help. I have now placed my order for Standard Roses. Best wishes and many thanks, Lucy Porter.

"Disappointed…"
I recently purchased an expensive David Austin rose on line as an 80th birthday present. When it came it looked poorly, many of its leaves were dead or dying, certainly unfit to be given as a special gift. I was asked by Blou at Customer Services to send in a photo to which he said it had suffered ‘a bit of transport stress’ but was perfectly healthy. I replied that it didn’t look good. He then changed tac and said it was ‘going into its dormant period’. I’m sure he’s right, but the experts at DAR should have at least made it look presentable. Blou refused to exchange it or refund my money. I am angry and disappointed. I thought DA Roses was a helpful reputable company; evidently not. I would say to anyone considering buying online from them, just don’t. I am on a pension and can ill afford to buy a replacement. I feel I have been robbed. They don’t even deserve one star.
