"Scamology - Eyewear Reglazing Service Review"

I recently used this company's reglazing service and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience that I feel compelled to share.

The main issue was the significant discrepancy between the prices advertised on their website and what I was actually charged. Despite clear pricing displayed online, I received an invoice with premium "upsell" options automatically selected, nearly doubling my expected cost. Removing these unwanted additions required multiple email exchanges with customer service that spanned several days, creating unnecessary frustration.

Even after resolving the initial pricing issues and paying the invoice, I later discovered I had been charged for 24-hour expedited delivery instead of the standard 48-hour option I would have preferred. At no point was I asked about my delivery preference - they simply defaulted to the more expensive choice. Additionally, the basic shipping charge (£7) seemed excessive for this type of service.

The entire process felt designed to extract maximum payment rather than provide transparent, customer-focused service. Due to these practices and the overall negative experience, I cannot recommend this company and will not be using their services again.

Let me clarify why I called your company a scam: When I look up 'scam' in the dictionary—'a dishonest scheme to gain money fraudulently'—it fits what happened here rather nicely, don't you think?

I filled out TWO forms clearly stating what I wanted. Twice! Yet somehow I found myself in this endless loop of upselling attempts. 'Super cleaning of frames?' 'Special lens thickness?' 'Expedited shipping?' No thanks, I've already declined these... repeatedly.
And please, don't bring up 'previous orders.' This is a different order, in case that wasn't obvious.

The irony is, I was actually satisfied with your lens quality before. Congratulations on managing to make the ordering process so unpleasant that you've successfully turned a content customer into a former one. Well done!

Great experience from start to finish, Lensology are a very professional and efficient customer driven outfit.
I thought I’d give them a try after seeing the positive reviews and I wasn’t disappointed. Booked online a reglaze on some Ray-Ban frames, just a matter of printing postage label with tracking they supply and posting my frames (they had old prescription glass still fitted). Lensology kept me informed every step of the way with a quick turnaround, my glasses arrived back by 24hr mail once they had been reglazed. The price was less than half what I would pay on the high street without the inconvenience of dropping off and collecting and the glass/ optics are very high quality. I’m delighted with Lensology, great customer service in a world where customer service is becoming a rare commodity, I would recommend Lensology to anyone, I will be using them all the time now.

"Great Service & Price Don't hesitate "

I have used Lensology several times now to re-glaze my glasses for distance and sunglasses. I have always been delighted with the service and turnaround/ length of time it took from sending my glasses off to getting them back.
The website is very easy to follow and they even send you a prepaid label to post off your glasses. I have never had any issues and the price cannot be beaten compared to what you pay on the high street. My last few glasses I have purchased designer glasses from T K Maxx and then sent them to Lensology with my prescription.
Highly recommend them :)

I loved the experience start to finish, the team were super quick on their replies to my questions and issuing different options for me to choose from. When the order arrived it came with a bunch of celebrations sweets too which was a lovely touch. I can't see myself using any other service from now on, the value they offer is just unmatched and the customer service is excellent. Cannot recommend enough!
