"First time trying Woodencork, even with insurance they wouldn't cover a broken bottle deliver"
Received my order today, ~$300 bottle, and it was obvious when I unwrapped that the cork seal had broken and leaked out a few ounces into the packing materials. This was my first time using WoodenCork to source rare bottles, so I made sure to purchase their shipping insurance in case anything went wrong, so I called this one in with pictures of everything so they understood the bottle was damaged. They tried to offer me a $40 credit as remuneration, not a replacement bottle. Take note that I paid $20 for insurance, so I would've gotten $20 net compensation for a damaged bottle. I told them no, that's not acceptable. I paid 100% markup for this bottle, paid for expedited shipping AND paid for insurance, and they wouldn't make it right. That's how this place treats a new customer who's willing to pay extra for good customer service. I told them no thank you, and that they lost a customer today. The rep didn't seem to care so clearly it's their policy to make their own calls on whether or not you should receive an undamaged bottle.

"Fake shipping and scams"
This business offers fake shipments and 'shipping protection'. They use shady shippers that say they return items and then Wooden Cork holds your money for refund and says they did not get the item back from the shipper. It is a total scam. STAY AWAY.
I bought on July 24th and now on August 19th, still no item, still no refund after several attempts to get resolved.

I placed an order for an engraved bottle of Blanton’s bourbon as a gift. Shipping was incredibly fast! The bottle shipped in less than 24 hours. Upon unwrapping the bottle, I noticed the wax seal was partially torn which caused some leakage and ripped the label. Ken was so helpful and quick to respond to rectify the issue. I hadn’t read the disclaimer prior to purchasing that warns of the possibility of this happening. Even so, Ken gave some options and was able to give a credit to cover the engraving costs. Will definitely order from Wooden Cork in the future and recommend to all of our friends!
