"Complaint Regarding Delayed International Transfer and Poor Service"

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the international transfer service provided by Mashreq Bank. On August 5, I initiated a transfer through the Mashreq mobile app due to the urgency of the situation and my inability to visit an exchange center. The app promised a quick transfer within 4 to 24 hours, so I proceeded, despite the low exchange rate of 14.79 PHP (current rate is 15.70PHP) and a hefty transfer charge of 25 AED.

Unfortunately, it has now been three days, and the funds have still not reached the beneficiary. I have contacted your call center multiple times, but they have been unable to provide any assistance or expedite the process. They informed me that the transfer is being routed through a "corresponding bank," and there is nothing they can do to speed up the process.

This is extremely frustrating and disappointing. If I had known about these delays and complications, I would have never used Mashreq Bank for this transfer. I trusted your service for its promise of a quick transfer, but it has only caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience.

I strongly urge Mashreq Bank to improve transparency in the transfer process and ensure that customers are fully aware of potential delays before making transactions. Additionally, I request immediate action to resolve this issue and ensure the funds reach the beneficiary as soon as possible.

Mashreq deducted money from my account twice. They said a transaction I made on April 25th wasn’t deducted back then, but it actually was. Then, on July 28th, they took the same amount again, claiming it was for the previous transaction.

You might think you've experienced bad service before, but nothing compares to Mashreq. While opening an account is relatively easy, everything goes downhill from there. They provide you with a card that doesn’t work, and trying to contact them about it is a nightmare.

Phone support requires you to register for a service just to speak to an agent. On the website, they never respond to contact requests, and the app’s AI only solves a few issues, never connecting you to a real person. Even reaching out on social media results in empty promises of being contacted, but you never are.

Although it might be more challenging to open an account with other banks in the UAE, don’t let the easy account opening at Mashreq fool you. You will struggle to contact the bank, and they do not care about your issues at all.

At the moment of writing it my issue is still not solved of course, as I have never been contacted, and I'm just going to a different bank

Very terrible bank service they deducted funds without any reason when you filled a complaint they never responded and customer service tell you overdraft over a debit card??. I haven't spend money I didn't put in the account and charged you of past purchases even when the money was deducted. Its unfair to treat your customers with such a tricky way. Put your account on a negative balance this new skim you brought is terrible. A true business prospers on sincerity

Once they get your number, it's like a duck in ocean, full of hungry crocodiles, so will call you sooooo manyyyy times that it will start to mess up with your head, you will be angry and want to say a lot of things to them when you answer call.
Whetever and howmuch satisfatory your service is, is another concern, but please stop calling / hunting people. pleaseeeeee

on August 1 2024 they debited an amount to my account from April 20 and May 8 saying I have transactions before that was not debited to my account i check all my emals and messages but i cant find whch transaction, i contact how many times customer care but until now nobody call me,poor customer service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mashreq bank is the worst bank ever since I had a complain to them regarding the issue I'm facing for the deduction.One of the agent called me and they discussed the issue again in the end the agent said they will refund the money since then they did not refund the money until now..I think they are just playing or making their customer promises but nothing happen.i will not recommend this bank to anyone.Im very upset cause this money I worked hard just to earn every single dirhams.

I am extremely dissatisfied with your recent unauthorized deduction from my account, attributed to a technical fault from 3-4 months ago. This sudden financial burden is unacceptable.

Despite multiple attempts to contact you via email and phone, I have received no proper response. Your complaint system is inadequate, and I was promised a response within one day, but it has been four days without any contact.

This unprofessional service is unacceptable, and if not resolved immediately, I will exercise my legal rights against the bank.
