"The worst bank in UAE and the…"

The worst bank in UAE and the interesting part is nobody control them.almost 1month i gave problem with them.Last month i went to the internet city branch to just cancel and close the credit card(cuz am fed up with irrelevant charges and fake fees)the agent push me to pay 16k to close and cancel the card i paid just to get rid of this unusable credit card.after 1month I figured out he didn’t cancel and closed and there is extra 15k irrelevant charges more after that day.absolutely am not satisfied and you are the worst bank ever in this world.am an alone lady who works hard to live and this way is Haram in this Islamic country.God will punish you soon.

"Mashreq Dispute and Service"

Mashreq is a good bank however when it comes to disputes, they're very strict. Moreover, it's a nice bank. Im still using it at the moment.

"Worst customer service and unapologetic…"

Worst customer service and unapologetic bank i must say. I have been mailing to you to bear some sympathy so that someone from your disputes section calls me and settles my dispute and you keep mailing saying its closed and nothing can be done. A fraud transaction happens on my card and you ask me to pay for it too which i did. Mind you i reported the fraud within minutes of when it happened and you could have stopped the transaction from happening and instead you blame the customer who uses a paid card and pays an annual fee and you make the victim sound responsible for the fraud. The worst possible service from any bank I have gotten till date and I must say any other bank here would have solved the issue and you choose to put the blame on the customer.
Its almost 2 weeks now and noone even bothers to call from the bank.

"I have been trying to open a business…"

I have been trying to open a business account for 2 months. The person in charge Iqtidar and all the other employees are not reverting to calls nor emails causing damage to potential customers. I am asking simple questions but never get a straight answer. Shame on the entire Mashreq team making false promises and not being able to help honest people tryimg to conduct honest business in this country.

"I would review this bank as -500 stars…"

I would review this bank as -500 stars if possible. This is my first bad review, I don't leave bad reviews, though after over 5 years with this bank.. I've had it with their customer harassment approach.
They are one of the oldest banks in Dubai/UAE and only have three branches left in Dubai. They have closed all the other branches, ignorant to customer needs and to make them more money off course.
They charge you to use a virtual teller at the branch to withdraw cash from your own account, as oppose to going to a branch with a teller where you do not have to pay to withdraw. (most of which are closed now).
You have a daily deposit limit into your account, which fluctuates everyday.. (sounds like an award winning idea !!) whereby you have to call the bank and stay on hold forever to find out how much money you can deposit into your account everyday.
Whilst technology is suppose to make banking easier for customers.. Mashreq has found a way to make it hard for customers and easy on themselves in logicless ways.
For every complaint raised you will receive an sms with reference no. followed by another sms saying your issue has been addressed and the case it closed without ever getting a call from the staff or an email of how your issue has been addressed. Responding their customer survey is a waste of time as well.. and so is this bank !
Do yourself a favor and pick a bank which values its customers above it’s senseless systems.

Very worst experience with mashreq credit card. I paid all my dues but still shows as unpaid dues. Requested for card cancellation several times but still not cancelled.unable to contact them easily.

"Fraudulent Transaction Happened through Credit Card"

It is with great sadness that I share this post here.

A few days ago [2-Feb-24], I had the bitter experience of a fraudulent transaction worth 25000 AED in five Transactions through my Mashreq credit card without my involvement.

I did not receive any kind of OTP’s or confirmation. Immediately I called customer care, blocked the card, and raised a dispute.

In parallel filed a case in Dubai Police HQ E-Crime and registered a Complaint in the Central Bank of The UAE.

After 5 days of routine follow-up with the bank, I came to know from the bank that the transactions were done through Apple Pay through noon-Dubai.

The Bank informed, “that in accordance with Visa / Mastercard guidelines on card transaction disputes, the transactions were 3D secured and we are unable to refund the amount. The disputed transaction(s) is/are considered closed” and advised to take up this matter with the merchant and legally.
From that day forward, I followed up with the CID department [E-crime] and raised a complaint with noon.

Dubai Police HQ already took up the complaint when I registered the e-crime portal itself.

Ultimately, the merchant and lawyers say that the Bank should give support regarding this critical situation.

How can an Ordinary Employee afford this kind of amount even a due amount of the total amount, which was ruthlessly scammered?

I would like to add that, I am not an Apple user and have never used a noon application in my lifetime.

I don’t intend to downgrade anyone except to bring my problem to the attention of the right authorities.

In light of this incident, I firmly believe that the Mashreq Bank will take swift and decisive action to prove my innocence without any personal loss.
Everyone viewing this post is requested to support bringing it to the attention of the right authorities.
