"14 years and counting. Yes, I can recommend them."

I have been with the VentraIP family for many many years. VentraIP, then Zuver, then VentraIP and now Synergy Wholesale. While those transitions were certainly frustrating, and staff have been measurably imperfect, through everything I have ALWAYS been treated with patience and respect. When it comes down to it: this crew do their gosh-darn best to run consistently reliable and well-performing servers, and to serve their customers as best they can. No, their prices are not the absolute cheapest in the market (nor the most expensive!), but for those of us who are not "penny wise and pound foolish", staying with VentraIP has been the best investment I have made for my web hosting needs. I have also used quite a range of other US and AU hosting providers over the last two decades, but none of the others have been fair dinkum two thumbs up, like VentraIP have.

"Best Customer Service and best server response times!!"

The very best customer service in Australia. I am at a loss as to why VentraIP don't have more 5 star reviews. I'm just a semi retired ex- Telstra ( don't hate me ) hobbyist with too much time and not enough praise for the staff at ViP. I've had better years and unfortunately my health is in a sharp decline. I spent half of my time between hospitals and my computer.
I used to know quite a bit about the wonderful wild world that's the interwebz but medication has me struggling to remember my own name at times. The incredibly friendly staff have taken care of me so much so i have to reach out to anyone that sees this and say Go with VentraIP. The guys and girls are so friendly and so patient to put up with forgetful noobs like me. I'd be lost without them. No kidding, i've been close to the end for some time now and these lovely folks have supported me, not just from a business POV but personally as well. I have no embarrassment to share my tale of woe and time after time the staff have helped me so very much.
For this i'm so very grateful.
If you are old like me and want to learn , VentraIP is the go . I know a little about a lot but my specialty is fibre design so i have a good grasp of latency and how it affects page loading etc. They got their servers in the best spot possible and their network is ( someone gonna spit up their coffee) rock solid and craps all over the rivals.
Thank-you to all the staff for taking care of this retired hack . You all deserve a big fat Christmas bonus!

"Fast, economical and reliable services"

I have used VentraIP for a number of years for both domain names and hosting. They have consistently provided a fast and reliable service. If you are after Web hosting in Australia that doesn't cost you an arm and a leg then I recommend giving them a try.

I'm surprised by people here posting one star reviews because they didn't pay their renewal yet expect the service to keep working. What do you expect? Does the supermarket let you keep taking food when you don't pay them?

"Always been reliable for domains"

I've been registering domains since the days when .com.au names were free and managed part-time by a staff member at Melbourne Uni, and while I don't use their other services, I am nowadays a happy domain customer with VentraIP and find their service very reliable.

Others may be oh-so-slightly cheaper, but I find them much more of a hassle. Everything I need for managing a couple of dozen domains is all at my fingertips with VentraIP, and I'm happy to keep all of my Aus-based domains in this account.

"My website was down for 8 hours…"

My website was down for 8 hours yesterday. It cost me many thousands of dollars in sales.
Very disappointed it took 8 hours to resolve. Very disappointed there were no updates on social media during what was an extremely stressful period

"VentraIP. Best Australian web hosting in my opion"

Having been with another hosting provider for approximately 15 years and having major issues on our four websites, we started looking for an alternative. We looked at several before deciding on VentraIP.
We were glad to see a great deal of positive reviews.
The process was straight forward and simple. VentraIP migrated all of our files and databases over to them without us having to do it.
One of the things that helped us decide is that they are Australian owned and based and their support staff are based in Australia.

"Been Hacked?"

Would you trust your service with an IP company that seemingly has a hacking problem? We repeatedly receive spam / phishing attempts from this company's domiciled email addresses. Why would anyone want to trust a company with their hosting when that company can't even keep their own security in check.

"I do not recommend VentraIP"

Was a customer of Netvirtue for 8 - 10 years. Small customer, few domains, web hosting, emails, nothing much but I was loyal and paid tri-annually for years and never complained once. I get that I'm not a massive customer but I pay my money just like the big guys do.

Enter VentraIP who took them over last year. All seemed fine until I was migrated from legacy Netvirtue to VentraIP. Then the ONE THING I used and liked the most - Spam Experts was unceremoniously taken away from me.

Yes - I contacted support - and first level support was nothing short of pathetic, the individual didn't even read the information I posted in the ticket, an embarrassment to your support if you can even call it that.

Second time round I did get someone who was knowledgeable and very polite so cannot fault him - thank you. However unfortunately he advised me that I was no longer going to be able to use Spam Experts and it would not be offered into the future.

The worst part is that he then made it my responsibility to follow this up with Management and recommended I contact them to provide feedback. NO.

Given I have a FULLY PAID plan with over 12 months left on it remaining, and I PAID for the SPAM EXPERTS service, I will be taking this up with Fair Trading.

As nice as the support person was, he offered very little, committed to nothing specific - offering only general "possible" compensation - but I get that its not really something he can provide so I do understand.

Basically he advised / recommended I take this up with management - instead of just escalating to them which is what I would have expected any decent support system to be able to do automatically. I've taken it up with VentraIP as far as I am concerned, its not my job to escalate an issue that Support cannot resolve, your system should be able to do that automatically or you should be keeping your fingers in the support pie more to make sure of what's going on.

Moot point now anyway as I have moved most of my services and will move the remaining in the near future.
