"WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE"

I have never experienced a worse customer service representative in my life. Eleazar helped me & would not help in any way, shape or form other than saying "I cannot help you without the model number." At first, I asked if they can locate the model number for me if I provide the name of the product. I requested this because I didn't have the model number. Eleazar didn't acknolwedge this request & responded with the same message yet again, "Unfortunately I cannot help you without the model number." I find this very alienating and rude to respond to a customer with the same message when they are clearly asking more. My responses were in direct relation to the fact that I could not find the model number. Now knowing that your employees are fully capable of finding the model number by using your website, I find it incredibly lazy and rude to not help a customer out with something like this. After this, I then discovered that you can find the model number on your website simply by having the name. I requested Eleazar to find this for me because I did not appreciate the same response over and over again & wanted ACTUAL customer service help and not the same "Sorry, cant help" response. That is no way to handle customer service & I'm sure you strive for nothing but the best Intex! It was utterly rude. Eleazar continued to respond with the same response even after I expressed my dissatisfaction, which again, is not a way to treat a customer. I told them I would be leaving a poor review and still, not a single care given towards my request. In the future, you should have your employees consider putting their customers first, ESPECIALLY in a customer service department. Even when a customer is outright wrong, you do not treat them with such disrespect. I will be leaving poor reviews on any format I can find, that is how enraged Eleazar made me. Unbelievable! Dissapointed too. All over an $18 pump replacement.

"Horrendous"

Possibly my worst customer service experience ever. Because I was unable to resolve the problem of my credit cards being charged SIX times for the purchase of a single spa cover—there were other problems, but this will suffice for this review, which was requested by Intex—I had to send physical letters to five principals for assistance: Brian San, Managing Director, Doug Ford, Vice President, Mike Baxi, President, and M. Taghi Derayati, CEO. The content is posted below, but after a week or so their response was to have a woman call who offered no apologies or compensation for my trouble and wasted time, and curtly refused when I asked about it. She merely confirmed that they had finally credited a previously challenged charge. She/they had ZERO concern for me as a customer. Here’s what I wrote:

Dear Mr. San,

First of all, my apologies for sending this to more than one person in your office, but I wasn’t sure who the appropriate party would be. I’m writing because as a principal at Intex who presumably cares about your customers and your company, I imagine you might want to be aware of my experience. I certainly would if the situation were reversed.

There are two issues:

1) The entirely unacceptable treatment I received at the hands of your customer service representatives.

2) The fact that my credit cards were charged six times for a single purchase on January 16 and the matter has still not been resolved.

When I called Intex on January 16 to purchase a cover for my Greywood Deluxe spa, I spoke with a man who took more than 30 minutes to locate the product. He then ran my Discover card and said the transaction didn’t go through, so he ran it again. When that failed, he ran my Amex card three times and said it too had failed. Next, he insisted that I contact Discover and Amex to investigate the problem and when I resisted doing that for what should be obvious reasons, he just talked over me, repeating himself over and over before eventually hanging up. I then called back and spoke with a much more competent woman who took my order and charged my Amex card.

A few days later, I noticed two charges on my Discover card and four on my Amex card. When I call customer service, I was told that they couldn’t help me, but a supervisor would call me within 48 hours. They did not.

I also contacted customer service via email and was first told that they could not help with this and that I should call customer service. When I responded that I had called and insisted they have a supervisor contact me, I was assured that a supervisor had been notified and would call. They did not.

So, I contacted Discover and disputed two charges, and Amex and disputed three (the fourth charge being legitimate).

Your Merchant Services office contested one of the disputed Discover charges, saying I had received the product—even though my Amex card had been charged for that. And in their response to Discover they said “Intex would have immediately refunded Barry Cleveland for the charge had we been made aware prior to the filing of the complaint.” You were made aware.

Finally, my spa just failed completely, apparently due to a malfunction in the power system.

At the very least, I need you to straighten out this credit card mess and credit my Amex card for four charges (I only disputed three, never imagining you would contest one of the Discover charges).

Frankly, however, as someone who has worked for companies with superb customer service, I feel that in acknowledgement of how poorly I have been treated and how much of my time has been wasted, you should also replace my defective spa. The cover that you charged me six times for is now entirely worthless otherwise.

"We purchased the intex round ultra…"

We purchased the intex round ultra 20'x52" above ground pool on 5/24/24. My husband spent his week of vacation to get level ground and properly set up the pool. Once we got it full it sprung a leak around the lower part of the liner. It is very clear that someone within the factory tried patching it and then it passes quality control to be sold on the shelf. After my husband patched this brand new pool with a patch and a pin hole. I called intex in hopes to get a new pool liner and some compensation for the time my husband spent working on this thing. Only to be told sure we can have a supervisor call you, but they're not going to help you any further either! To say I'm unhappy is an understatement. Do they realize what kind of work goes into setting up and taking down and then setting up again? They told me to reach out to Walmart because once checking they are actually out of stock and who knows when I'd get the pool liner. Absolutely not happy with this customer service! They offered nothing further once they realized they were out of stock!!

"We bought an Intex inflatable Kayak"

We bought an Intex inflatable Kayak. Within a year, it sprung a leak. They replaced it, but the new one sprung a leak while we were in the middle of a lake. Had to paddle ashore really fast to avoid capsizing. Called, they would not fix or replace it. AVOID Intex like the plague - shoddy products, shoddy customer service

"They will never care about helping customers"

I bought their 20’x48” ultra car above ground pool for my son. I put it up and realized that the air jet valve was missing. Called their customer service line and told them about it. Gave them the model number, part listing number, stock number of missing part and at first couldn’t find it. Once she did they sent me a link to up load the pictures of the order since I purchased it from Walmart.com. I did and they denied the claim and won’t send a little $3.00 part that they were negligent in not putting in the package. Thank fully Amazon had it. I may have had to spend $20 to get the part which is beyond comprehension to me. I buy a $900 pool and I have to spend more for my son to use it. They do everything possible to not help customers or correct their mistakes. Once this pool wears out I will not be buying another product of theirs if I can help it.

"Super reactie van Intex"

Super reactie van Intex. Defect aan mijn Spa. Code E91 ( zoutsysteem )Formulier ingevuld ( case ) en alle gevraagde informatie toegestuurd.

Direct actie ondernomen door intex en super opgelost. De volgende dag kreeg ik bericht van DPD dat er een onderdeel onderweg is. Een electrolytische cel ontvangen en zelf éénvoudig geplaatst.

Super opgelost onder garantie👍

"Customer service? What service? "

My husband and I have always used Intex inflatable products and have referred them to our friends and family. However, that changed yesterday! We bought a 18x48 Intex pool for our Christmas for each other. We just put it up and filled it last week. We began the cleaning process yesterday and the cover ripped at the seam. We haven't even had a chance to get in and it's already costing extra! Customer service told me the warranty was 90 days and was not valid but she could help me buy another one through them! I'm very angry! We've put a lot of time, money and energy into a pool that has a defect and the company could care less! We didn't have an order number

"I do not recommend Intex"

I do not recommend Intex. I purchased a pool pump from them, and it broke down after a short period of use. I have been waiting for a replacement for two months now, even though my claim was acknowledged a month ago. As a result, I lost an entire season due to choosing this poor-quality company.
