"AVOID AT ALL COSTS"

Horrific experience. Shipment wasn't collected on scheduled day as our venue didn't have it ready (fair). We received an email saying pickup had been rescheduled for the following day, and if this did not suit, we could click a link to select a different day. A week later, the shipment STILL had not been picked up. When I called, I was told this was because I didn't select a new collection day, and was told the information in the email I had received was wrong, which begs the question - why did no one call me to reschedule, rather than leaving our shipment sitting in Brisbane for a week? This was on a Monday, and despite me emphasising the urgency, our shipment was STILL not collected until the Wednesday and arrived on Melbourne on the Friday. With our event (for which our shipment was critical) scheduled for the Saturday, we requested to pick up our shipment from the depot in Melbourne. This was refused and the staff on the phone refused to even give us the address of the depot. We did some digging ourselves and went down there anyway, where a lovely gentleman helped us out and managed to find our shipment. So much time wasted, so much unnecessary stress. Never again.

"My order via Woolworths Everyday market…"

My order via Woolworths Everyday market was ordered and paid for on October 19 2023 via a supplier called Mills Brand. It was apparently picked up on the day it was ordered and yet still has not reached my Charlestown home, on November 8. The delivery was meant to occur October 24-27 in time for my daughter's birthday! They have done nothing to communicate with me or the supplier and have only begun to slowly slowly do anything now that I have made several complaints to Woolworths. That's when they started saying things like "we didn't have a big enough van" - a courier company that doesn't have a big enough van?!! - and "we haven't been able to find another agent to deliver the goods" - this is now nearly three full weeks since the present was picked up. Newcastle is not some provincial backwater but a major city so this is utterly pathetic. The goods cost over $550 and this reflects terribly on all involved - Woolworths, Mills Brands and Hunter Express. It is 90 minutes drive from the suppliers to my house. Donkeys or tortoises could have got the goods to me by now!

"Rude & unreliable"

Delivery said it was Thursday and we waited around all day ! Monday lunchtime we rang depo asking for update and it hadn’t even been scanned at Depo ???? . We said could you tell us where it is and the receptionist was rude and condescending. We asked for address of depo so we could speed the pick up to be told that was not possible. I would never use this company again by choice and will be giving feedback to company we bought off ! Just read the reviews seems we aren’t the only unhappy customers.

"The worst interaction with a delivery company"

I've never experienced such poor service and absolutely terrible communication.

2 out of 4 pieces of my consignment delivered (no notification it was sitting out the front of my house).
Waited 1 week for the other two (2) pieces to arrive (they never did, still waiting).

I rang for an update on the rest of my consignment, was told that all was delivered and a ticket was raised to resolve my issue and I would be contacted within 24hrs.
No contact was made, two (2) days later I rang with an explanation of " we are sorry but we no longer have a depot in that area and all our freight is now coming from Sydney and we have no deliveries booked any time soon to your area.
Please call back next week for an update".
One (1) week later, still no delivery, and was told the remaining two (2) piece's are sitting in their warehouse.
It's been over 4 weeks from the estimated time my consignment would be delivered.
What a fùcking shìt show of a company,
Pathetic excuses with fück all care of their customers.
Once/ if my whole consignment ever arrives I will NEVER use or purchase anything that comes from Hunter Express.
Fúçk off all you useless cûñts.

"HUNTER EXPRESS"

I've read some appalling reviews about Hunter Express which filled me with dread when Fantastic Furniture contracted them to deliver on-line purchases in Victoria. I've had dealings with them twice now and found them to be polite, prompt and responsive. I had no issues with them at all and wonder if some of these reviews are fair.

"Absolutely hopeless business"

Absolutely hopeless, pathetic and incompetent business. Took over three weeks to deliver something that should have been delivered in 7 days. No way to contact them. From the tracking it was obvious they had lost one of the items in the delivery.

"If I could give a minus"

If I could give a minus - I would. I purchased a mattress on eBay. The seller states to leave your phone number in the check out - as the courier driver will contact you for the best day to deliver. I then got an email saying it was coming this Wednesday or Thursday. I immediately went on Hunter Express website (only way to contact them) and emailed, explaining Monday or Tuesday is best. I then got a text message saying they needed help getting it off the truck- to have someone there (impossible to reply to message) so I rang Hunter Express. They said it cannot be delivered because THEY HAVEN'T EVEN RECEIVED IT YET. I said "great- can you do it only on a Monday or Tuesday please"- I was told NOT A PROBLEM. Yesterday, I get an email- it will be delivered in 5 to 8 days..... THIS MORNING I get an email at 10.04am - it's on it's way............. I ring them (again) they refused to listen to me & kept asking the same stupid questions - can it be left safely ( not when it's going to rain over the weekend- no) Where it was going, has 88 year old - I had organised someone to be there - I wanted to speak to the manager or supervisor- The woman hung up in my ear (yes, I was yelling at her - at this stage) So I rang back- I was told they can contact the driver to not deliver but they cannot guarantee a day of Monday or Tuesday- and cannot even ASK if it can be delivered on a Monday or Tuesday -
THIS IS SYDNEY- NOT WOOP WOOP - SYDNEY -
they come over here almost DAILY.

By this stage, I was exhausted & didn't care what they did & told them so----
NEXT THING 11.53 am I get an email -
- the driver will be there in 1 hour.
So I contact a male friend who does hourly work (paid by the hours he works- casual) & he left his employment & went there- He got there in plenty of time....
I kept getting messages " still not here" -
so I go online & every half an hour or so- the update changes.
IT'S NOW OVER FOUR HOURS OVERDUE

On the 23rd August I was told " NOT A PROBLEM" - they could deliver on a Monday or Tuesday
Today - 10.39am - I'm asking questions & not getting answers & YES I got really angry & they hung up in my ear.
10.44 I rang back & told they can cancel- cannot ask for a specific day of the week - cannot contact the driver- cannot ask the driver. ---- did I want to cancel or not
I SAID - I DON'T CARE.

So, at 11:53 am I was told it would be there in an hour.
That's noon, due for 1pm
It's now 5:30pm - 4 & HALF hours late!
AND STILL WAITING
PLUS- THE WEBSITE IS DIFFERENT TO THE PHONE
One has 4:14 due for delivery (it's now 5:30pm)
the other has 3:24pm

This is a disgrace.
I will never buy from any seller that uses Hunter Express
EVER.
I have a friend - who gave up $$$$$s - to do me a favour & he's lost half a days pay for NOTHING.

Seriously- I have had many things delivered using couriers & gotten updates sent to my phone-

WHY HASN'T THE DRIVER PHONED ME?

WHERE'S MY MATTRESS HUNTER EXPRESS
Just tried to ring them - and guess what- THEY'RE CLOSED
Am I getting the mattress today or not!?
IT'S AFTER 5.30pm
So - Your guess is as good as mine
What's the point in the driver having my mobile number - if you don't bother to use it.

"Not sure why they are called Hunter…"

Not sure why they are called Hunter express when they are slower than regular Australia post. Item left Sydney on the 18th and here I am on the 24th and have still not recieved my item. I'm 4 hours north of Sydney, is this being delivered via push-bike?
